Office of Psychiatrist Elisa Sanchez M.D.

"Today we went to my brother's 1st time visit to this office. We went to check in & the receptionist told my brother that the doctor was running behind and it was going to take about an hour and a half to be seen, that we can go out to run errands in the area and we could come back after the hour and a half and/or they would call us when they are ready to see him. We left, we went to a car dealership (which we all know takes a long time) we were at the dealership for a good hour and we still didn't get a phone call from them. We decided to go back to the doctor's office only for them to tell us that the doctor wasn't ready to see him still, it was going to take another hour to be seen. We sat down. Another family went to check in and were told the same thing about the doctor running an hour and a half late, to go out and do what they need to do and come back and/or they would call them. The clients said, where are we going to go? When I heard that, I got so upset, and went up to the receptionist and the office manager and asked why are we all being given an appointment and told to go out and come back another hour and a half because the doctor was behind on seeing patients. I told them why then set appointments that they are not going to keep or why over book, why not just give us appointment times that they will be able to keep. The response was, that's the way it is, everyone does it, you can stay or you can leave, do whatever you want. We left! The attitude from both of them was upsetting. They seem to have a God power attitude with the clients because the clients have no other choice but to wait all three hours to be seen. At the time a lady came in with what seemed like food for the entire staff which I believe is a Pharma representative and she was more important than the patients. I believe that It would actually have taken more than another 2 to 3 hours to be seen. This lady needs to have her license be taken away cause I believe it's just a money making scheme for this so called doctor. She and the staff should be ashamed of themselves for doing this for just a check and profit instead of really taking care of patients who really need help. How can they expect that their patients with extreme anxiety are able to wait for all these hours! It's unbelievable. I took time off from work in Brownsville because my brother has anxiety, to go with him to this appointment, he lives in Weslaco, the other lady came from another town... this is really the first time of what I've witness today from this office! We need to address this and they need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau and the physiatrist board."

"The therapist here gave me trauma I’m 17 already and I can’t get over the fact that the therapist called me fat and ugly and worthless when I was only 9 years old the therapist needs to get fired do not take your children here!!"

"Please do not go here. My mental health has suffered because of it. The Dr. told me I was too much of a “sweet girl” to have such an “ugly mental illness”. And that “sweet girls don’t want ugly mental illnesses”. I was baffled within the first 2 minutes of speaking with her. She also probed me endlessly about a situation that led me to the darkest time in my life. I told her how unprofessional she was being…and she actually agreed and apologized. Nonetheless, I would never recommend a friend or a stranger to this place. You deserve someone to listen to you and not only will Dr. Sanchez not do that, she will judge you along the way. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. We need better psychiatrists in the valley."

"If you care about your mental health, do not inquire help from this psychiatrist. The doctor told my partner her depression was too much of a liability."

"You'll leave with more issues than when you go in. Gave me soo much stress about being able to get my medication. They don't care about you not getting your meds refilled and the side effects it may give you."
