"I have been a patient of Dr. Sekharan for over 12 years. My entire family has been patients of hers. She has always been great and extremely helpful in diagnosing my health concerns. However, I have gotten my own insurance as a young adult and decided to continue using the office. There has been such a huge decline in the demeanor and professionalism of the office staff. Dr. Sekharan has been there through my puberty, PCOS diagnosis, and the first to diagnose my anxiety. I have nothing but praise to give the doctor. The staff has been the same ladies, but they are complacent in their positions and condescending towards patients. I have seen it before to others but never experienced it myself until recently. Last year I had the office ladies basically yell at me about insurance billing. I called to schedule my yearly physical and the office staff was unbearably rude and condescending. Not only did the first person just pass my call off without telling me so, she demanded that I was wrong. When the Second Lady got on the phone she immediately started off with an unfriendly tone. When I explained that I was sick , and needed a physical on top of that, she told me they wouldn’t see me in office. Which I understand as I am currently sick. When I asked to make an appointment for the future she refused because she was not understanding. I explained that I need an appointment a month out per my insurance and employer request. She started to get an extremely condescending and degrading tone. Saying that I do not know what I am talking about, that my insurance will not cover it, telling me that I’m wrong, and that I’ll be responsible for the cost. I tried to inform her that this is a unique situation and she told me that I don’t know what I’m talking about. This got me very upset. She told me that she was going to put this interaction in my chart to let the doctor know that I was being rude. When I asked her if she speaks to all the patients this way she said and I quote “no our patients are nice not like you”. When I informed her that I have been a patient of Dr. Sekharan’s for over 12 years. She stated that she’s aware of who I am, in a rude tone. Sadly, this phone call ended with myself in tears over the frustration and disappointment of the interaction. I am a young woman with a mental illness and currently not feeling well. Where is the professionalism? Or common human decency? This is a place of business. When calling an office, let alone a doctor’s office, this is not the treatment that should be given. Bottom line is know your consumer base and think before you speak. Myself, fiancé, father, mother, sister, grandmother, and grandfather will no longer be patients here due solely to the office staff."
"Great experience for my first primary care appt outside of the military. Civilian world medical is a whole different ball-game.. Dr. Sekharan is thorough, non-judgmental and informative. She assisted me in getting in touch with imaging and labs diagnostics for my pre-operative approval."
"If I could give negative stars I would. I can't speak on the doctor because I never saw her. The office staff is horrible so I left."
"Love Dr.Sekharan, she is always there for me when I need her, always answering any concerns or question I have , stuff are the best, always smiling and super friendly. Very thankful for everything they do for me."
"Amazing doctor from what I hear, I called a month ago for an appointment, the staff received my information but didn't schedule anything. Very frustrating left work to find out I don't have a schedule. Not good for business, due to the doctor reputation I rescheduled but the staff receive 1 star!"
