"Not a bad place to live. A pool area, 24/7 clubhouse access, apartment washer and dryer, close to RFU, open to animals in building 7. Qualms: 1.) cost. Somewhat on the high side for this area (though not like NYC or San Fran high). 2.) It's November of 2022, COVID-19 cases are low in Lake County, yet they are requiring masks to be worn in their clubhouse regardless of vaccination status? RFU isn't even requiring them! Shows me a bit of left-leaning bias on management side, and at this point in the pandemic new mask mandates are not good. COVID is here to stay. Note: they did initially not have a consistent package management system with some package thefts having occurred in the past. While it's still a risk for off-hour deliveries, they have gotten better with a package notification system for residents. That's why I increased my rating from 3 to 4 stars"
"Ok place to live, perks being it's right next to campus. But there are some issues with the place. I had my car stolen off the lot, and a classmate had their catalytic converter stolen. I can only imagine who else has had these issues in other programs. There are no cameras in the vicinity, campus security does patrol from time-to-time but not so frequently as to catch criminals in the act. They should invest in a security program or put a gate. The apartments are a little out date, the staff is good, very responsive and quick to fix any issues in the apartment. I believe most buildings have a common laundry area with 3 sets of each (ours is on the second floor). You need a key to get into the hallways of the building which is nice since it providers an extra buffer of security. There are no elevators in the buildings so keep that in mind if you decide you want the scenic 3rd level room (think about carrying groceries, laundry, furniture etc..). Staff and proximity is going to be the selling point, the staff really are great here and always have your packages safely stored for pickup. Would give this overall an solid 3.5/5"
"Actually thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, we were kind to the people who worked here and in turn they were super kind to us with no fussing on either party's behalf."
"Terrible place to live. My fiance and I lived there while she was in graduate school and did not have one pleasant experience with the staff. The pool was closed for 2 months in the middle of the summer due to an employee adding too many chemicals, the maintenance staff would take at least a week to respond to issues, and the entire building was out of date and just the worst. Even one of the smoke detectors was glued, literally glued, to the ceiling, so when the battery died we almost had to break it off. Overall, a terrible place to rent from."
