Banfield Pet Hospital

"Brought our two dogs in for their annual checkup. Dropped them off early morning at opening hour. Went to pick up the dogs in the afternoon around 4pm. The nurse then said the dogs have not had their teeth cleaning yet and I had to wait another hour. The dogs have been there the whole day and they were still not finished. Dogs came out all wet as if they were rushed to be finished up. One of our dogs was very scared and whining. Upon inspection at home I found that one dog had been poked with 5 needle sticks, from them trying to draw blood! That is unacceptable! We know because we are in the medical field. When the dogs were picked up the veterinarian did not bother to come out for after visit consultation nor did we receive any paperwork of what had actually been done for the dogs. Money was charged and medications paid for. We did not receive medications since they did not have any at the time of visit. I was told the medication would be sent home to our home. No calls to inform us when medication would be in, or any updates. Called back over a week later and had to speak to several people on the phone, but nobody could give us an answer. I was told to call back to speak to a manager that wasn't there. After 3-4 phone calls and speaking to different people each time, we finally decided to call another Banfield and they were able to assist us. We did not receive our medications until two months after visit. I don't know what kind of system they are using but it is not working very well. We're never going back to the San Felipe/Tanglewood location again."

"The staff is extremely kind and great with the animals. However, every office visit has resulted in some form of incompetence (misinformation for the most part). They’re also quite pushy about vaccines and medications. I signed up for their year long membership and I wish I hadn’t so I could go elsewhere."

"The folks at this Banfield location are amazing. When my little one had to go in for dental issues, they took great care of her and put me at ease. Your fur babies will be if wonderful hands!"

"Update: based on the request from benfield I sent the email to benfield authority. Its been more than a week and no one has acknowledged or responded back. This clearly reflects the negligence on their part. Wish i could give negative stars. I have been to other Banfield hospitals and my experiences have been good. The front staff is good. But the doctor seemed a bit incompetent. He charged us the consultation fees without even checking my pet and requested us to get the xray and blood work with $970. On top of it he tried to feed my cat some treats by throwing them on the floor. Shame on him. Can't trust this place with our pet. If they can do this in front of us then i can't imagine what they will do behind the door."

"We had an end of life visit with our 15 year old Lab. This Banfield was compassionate and kind. When I called Saturday morning to explain what was going on, they immediately made an appointment for me the same day at 4:00pm. The Vet and Nurse both looked over Jazz and explained in detail our options. The choice was clear they gave us as much time as we needed and handled the procedure with us in the room. Although the process was very difficult on us, these folks handled it as well as possible. We will always remember and be thankful to them for helping all of us through this difficult process."
