"This is my third year here at Chelsea Senior Commons and I thank Bear Properties for our new manager Erica Wesley. I cannot tell you enough how happy I am that Erica is now our manager. Erica is a very kind and warm person. She is very concerned about her residents and very helpful when anyone needs or asks something. She listens, doesn't judge, threaten, or raise her voice and takes care of all issues without any drama. She encourages people to be happy and enjoy their lives here. What really makes me happy is the people here are finally coming out of their apartments and joining in again at events and gatherings and enjoy helping each other again. Erica has made this a community again in the short time she has been here, and I am sure it will continue to grow the longer she is here. The complex itself is beautiful, clean and well kept.. The grounds are very well kept with a picnic and grilling area. Plenty of areas for dog walking and two provided clean up stations for your fur baby. More than ample parking with a well lit parking lot. Beautiful apartment with all stainless steel appliances, walkin shower, and best of all a washer and dryer in your own apartment. It also comes with plenty of wonderful neighbors who are more than willing to help you if you need it and watchful to make sure you are well and accounted for. So happy to reside here ! "When I first found this community, I was impressed with the beautiful amenities. However, beauty is only skin deep. My opinion is not the same now as it was when I moved here. Office manager treats renters as prisoners. She yells at visitors and has made up reasons to threaten to evict me. She has made me cry more than once. I hear we are getting new management. Can't come too soon. Maybe my opinion will change with new management. I stay because it is affordable. And I love the friendships and neighbors I've made since I moved in."

"Very lovely place to live. Wonderfully modern appliances. Manager always has entry foyer decorated charmingly, prettily, and seasonally appropriate. Common areas kept clean and uncluttered. View out my windows and patio like a forest preserve ~~ foliage and wildlife. My two cats love looking out the big windows. Looking forward to Covid 19 restrictions being lifted so manager can host luncheons again. They always have enjoyable themes, colorful decorations, and premium food. Speaking of Manager: in my experience, she always has time for anybody who needs her. If she is busy, she will return "your" call as soon as possible and provide all the time needed to understand the situation and explain everything to resident's satisfaction and comfort. It is my personal hope that I remain healthy and sane enough to live here quite awhile. Thank you, Chelsea Commons for providing my pets and me this happy home!"
