"Since moving to Addison my husband and I needed to find a new doctor for our now 15 month old son. We love this place and our doctor Dr.Jennifer Mathew! The staff here is all super nice, even if you have to call after hours to speak to a nurse about a fever or have any questions regarding your child. Every time we come in, everyone is super sweet and just as nice over the phone they are all always happy to help! Last week our son was having a persistent fever and Dr. Jennifer made time to squeeze our son in to see him, even though his strep test came back negative she prescribed an antibiotic and his fever was gone by the next day and he is feeling better already. I was so happy that she was able to treat him and make time to see him even though she was probably having a busy day. I really appreciate the extra mile the staff goes here, it makes me know that our son is in good hands. Even for checkups and shots the nurses are super sweet and try to get them over with as fast as they can. So happy to have found a pediatric doctor we love."

"We are transferring our 3 kids to the Edward-Elmhurst Medical Group (family practice doctors) after 6 years of being highly underwhelmed with this practice. We moved here from NYC with a fantastic relationship with our former pediatrician & her office employees; they knew our kids so well. We started at this practice 6 years ago, with a friend referral for Dr. Attanasio; though I have never met her once. That's fine, I do not mind seeing different doctors/NP's & PA's each time, but we have no relationship with any of them, and the wait times (4-12 minutes) whenever I call, and having appointments & physicals "with the first available practitioner" scheduled 2.5 months out are ridiculous. One time my son & I sat in the waiting room for 40 minutes, and then another 15 minutes in the room before being seen for his Mersa. I have taken my kids to the Edwards Elmhurst Urgent Care (on York by Mariano's) for the past 2 years to avoid interacting with this place, and it's been a surprisingly wonderful experience! Fast/kind/high-quality service for all sick visits - step throat, sinus/ear infections, etc. & they are in-network re. insurance. Today I realized that there is a family practice of several doctors at the Edwards-Elmhurst Urgent Care building, and I called to schedule sports physicals for my 2 kids - they quickly scheduled our appointments for this & next week. And BONUS - a KIND, KNOWLEDGEABLE HUMAN answered the phone within 1 minute! She asked if I was transferring the kids there, or just doing sports physicals & I felt such a sense of relief at the prospect of transferring & having easier access to the doctors there, and less time on hold every time I call. Plus the reviews on Dr. Ross & Dr. Chang are all 5 stars & fantastic. I do not recommend Elmhurst Pediatrics for families - even before Covid they were understaffed, over-booked & impersonal. The practitioners were kind, but the access was poor, & the wait times, & impersonal relations made me dread calling there."
