"I'm very disappointed with this medical center. I love my doctor there but I went there because I couldn't swallow food. I was referred to a GI doctor for an endoscopy. I left multiple messages to get in for this procedure. They never responded back to me. I was referred to a GI doctor by a family member who referred me to a GI doctor out of Northwestern Medicine as was seen the very next day. It was a Friday but he scheduled me for the Endoscopy first thing Monday morning. Be careful who you are referred to, I believe they all work together."
"I have NEVER had such an issue with a medical office. I had an annual physical exam during the spring of 2021, and Regency gave the insurance company incorrect diagnosis codes for an "annual depression screening" and an "alcohol screening" which were literally just a few questions as part of my check-up. When I received the bill, I called insurance, and they confirmed they would cover the cost because it was part of my physical exam but said Regency would have to fix the diagnosis codes. I called Regency, and after an hour of negotiating with them, the billing department reluctantly agreed they would fix it. Fast forward to March of 2022, and I receive THE EXACT SAME BILL, now overdue. I have tried calling Regency numerous times, but no one is answering the phone. I have left a few voicemails with no one returning them. And now their voicemail box is unable to accept new messages. The kicker is that I didn't have an issue with depression, and I don't drink alcohol. But man, I might start."
"Horrible costumer service. I set an appointment for my son. He is known to getting strep throat. Had negative covid results and the dr made reception call me 2 hours before my appointment asking to do video call. How the hell can you check for strep in a video?! So I told her if we can please cancel and they told Me That I will have to pay $100 to cancel?! Because I didn’t ask to cancel within 24hrs?! But yet they call me 2 hrs before my appointment to change it? I hate the service, receptionist and supervisor are very rude and gives you a bad attitude! Run from this place! All they see you as is a slot for money they don’t care! I can’t wait to leave"
"I went in for a routine physical, but I was a new patient. Apparently new patients get charged for a full consultation on top of a physical. The physical is preventative, but a consultation is not so my insurance didn't cover all of the new patient consultation charge. I could have gotten a biometric screening at work for free instead. They make you sign a form saying that you are aware that there may be hidden charges for any visit. After having the physical I tried to drop off a form for my results to be sent to my employee for a deduction on my health insurance. They left an essential part of the form blank. When I tried to drop it off again, the office was closed early despite online saying it should still be open for several hours still. Beware this practice."
"I have been going to Regency Medical Center for the last 10 years. Dr Patel, PA Shelia and the others have been great! When I am sick they get me in right away not a day or two later. They are compassionate and very friendly. My wife is very sick and we visit hospitals all the time and those doctors are cold. I complement this staff for their understanding and compassion. They treat the whole body including the mind not just the illness. Doctors are human too and if you treat them like you want to be treated that is what you get in return. If you are short with them they will still treat you and then send you on your way. In the 10 years I have been going here, I have always been cured of what ails me."
