"If I could give this place zero stars I would. I’ve been with Dr. Norman for years and wonderful and the only reason I come here. But I will most likely be switching due to the front office experience. It’s an absolute nightmare. They literally have 20 check in people and still can’t get their job done efficiently. They are also beyond rude. Every time. And every time you go there you have to provide a DL and insurance card. Every other doctor I see takes that info once a year and that’s it. After that you just give your name and check in. Not here. And they clearly can’t figure it out bc every time I go there they have a different way of checking in. Sometimes there is one person sitting at the front, other times you wait in a line and then other times each teller station has an available sign. It’s garbage and whoever is running that front office needs to be fired. It’s garbage. And the wait times are ludicrous. And calling in is a nightmare. You will never get a call back no matter what it is about. This group needs to take a hint and visit other doctor offices to see how to run them. If I were you I’d look elsewhere."
"If you are conducting due diligence, here is your sign to run in a different direction. This medical group does not care about you or your health. I stuck with Amita for five years, and I finally switched to Edward-Elmhurst. You cannot get a live person on the phone. If you do get a live person, it's a call center not at any Amita location. You will never receive immediate assistance (the flu, tick removal, prescription renewal), urgent care is way more reliable. You will never speak to a doctor on the phone. You will not get return phone calls, or timely return calls. And if you get through, you will get BIG attitude from staff with contradictory information. I had a valid prescription from a lovely doctor in this group from earlier this year. The doctor left the practice, and this group ignored my many requests and then lied that my insurance denied the prescription to cover up the fact that the current doctor just doesn't want to authorize the renewal or provide the supporting documentation. And to top that off, the notes on my health portal are revolting and unprofessional. Slapping the University of Chicago's name onto this group is probably a last-ditch effort to save this dumpster fire. Do not settle for substandard. You and your health are important. Go somewhere that will give you the attention and care you deserve."
"The front desk was rude and not welcoming. Our appointment was for 6 and we waited for over an hour. The Dr was rude and disrespectful and when I asked questions I got ignored. Definitely don't recommend."
"The doctor is fine but BEWARE the billing customer service is not in the USA AND I have been trying to get a bill correctly submitted to BCBS since June . They keep saying it’s “being looked into “without being resubmitted to my insurance I have had to escalate with still nothing to be done except saying sorry they incorrectly have handled this They are running out the clock and I will be responsible then so unlikely I would return here"
"Was there today for a 9 am appointment, after being called . Check in at 8 am and was told was not being seen till 845am . So I waited there until 945am and still nothing at 945 am there came out with paper work for blood work. Never been here before and never will . Lost two hours of work. And no one let me know anything about not being able to see doctor , hope they don’t charge my insurance for visit please think twice about going to this clinic. Had some office manager, telling me I was not even checked in, by Ariel , so I waited in office 2 hours and no one said anything. Asked well I was there and was told I was checked in. I would like for someone to say sorry."
