"This practice is NOT where you want to go. Not impressed with any of the staff, and the doctor did not have great bedside manners or spend much time with me. The one time my husband took time off work, we waited 45 minutes to be seen with no apology for the wait. We did genetic testing, and the nurse was flipping through papers, confused what the doctor ordered WHILE the needle was in my vein. We waited two weeks for results only to find out that she messed it up and had to redraw my blood. It was another almost 2 week wait to hear back. The ultrasound tech told us confidently at 12 weeks we were having a boy. Not sure why she was guessing so early because the genetic testing determined it’s a girl. Then, when I finally found a new OB practice to switch to, I had to miss my first appointment because this practice does not know how to send medical records. It’s been 12 business days and it was supposed to only take 5-7. Unbelievable. Highly recommend you do not go here."
"Horrible experience all the way around - front desk is rude and doesn’t follow up on anything they say the will do. nurses need some serious training (are they real nurses?) - the one drawing blood from my wife was looking at the lab orders AFTER the needle was in the arm. My wife nearly passed out from how long it took. The doctor (Johnson) was pleasant but very rushed - she was in and out in about 3 minutes, stood the whole time, and didnt ask if we had any questions… One visit was all we needed to move on. Avoid this place."
"Beware if you don't have insurance don't even think of going to this clinic they will not see you!! even if you tell them you Will pay out of pocket! They will deny you healthcare and humiliate you. As I was checking in and informed them I had a follow up appointment was asked by the rude front desk receptionist whom didn't have a work badge on and when asked for her name she said "No I won't tell you" asked for my insurance and after she said my insurance was not acceptable I told her I WOULD PAY OUT OF Pocket the PA Elizabeth must of heard from her hiding chair called the front desk and said she wouldn't see me. Then the receptionist proceed to tell me that the PA she said she wouldn't see me then the rude receptionist told me that I haven't been seen for quite sometime and she couldn't see me.Without an explanation or vivid reason.I wanted to know the reason why she would not see me and the front desk said "I'm not going to argue with you this is what the provider is saying am not going to step over the provider I'm going to call the police for harrassment " Never did I yell harrassed in any way nor did I curse I simply wanted to know the reason they were denying me healthcare. And all I got was a false accusation of harassment. They are rude they will discriminate, humiliate you and make you feel less of a person VS if you had insurance Not to point out that without seeing me the PA Elizabeth already had decided my care was going to be extensive from over hearing my conversation with the rude receptionist and couldn't see me! Do not go seek medical care here go elsewhere!!"
"Dr Galizia is the BEST! I’ve been seeing her for over 20 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else! She truly cares for her patients, takes the time to listen and plans the best possible care! The nurses are always very friendly and the receptionists are welcoming! When Dr Galizia isn’t available, I see Elizabeth Mann who also genuinely cares for patients and gets to the bottom of the issues. Thank you Amita for always taking such great care of me!"
"Complete disappointment and a joke at this location. After having a sciatic nerve flare up, I went to schedule an appointment with my regular Physician (who is great) through the Amita Patient Portal and she had no available appointments. Now the patient portal allows and recommends the option to see what other physician’s have availability for appointments and I was fortunate enough to find an appointment with a P.A. at the Lake Zurich location and I received a confirmation email along with a confirmation text message the next morning saying we will see you at 10:30. So I arrive for my appointment with the P.A. get checked in and they take the copay and I wait briefly before calling me back and the nurse takes my vitals and then I wait for 30 minutes before there is a knock on the door. The knock wasn’t from the P.A. but the so called office manager informing me that I’m not a patient there? Really, I’ve been to that location before for immediate care and I’ve been a patient in the Amita system for years and you have no problem taking a copayment and you inform me that you can’t take me as a patient when I’m already a patient with Amita... And if that was the case then why in the hell did your system allow me to make an appointment and the staff checked me in and had all my current records there in the system, even showing an appointment I have scheduled in February of 2022 with my primary doctor . I completely don’t understand the incompetence of the office manager at that location and the complete lack of consideration for people’s time and the inconvenience that was created as a result of this location. I have yet to see a refund back for my copay as well... And thanks for wasting my time..."
