"Wrestling is a fantastic sport built on the foundation of grit, pride, heart, and community. There are many clubs in the greater Austin area who are passionate about wrestling and the type of adults that wrestling makes. My family of 6 has built relationships with many of the nearby clubs. Each of them has taught us something and has become part of our family. What Chris Hopkins taught us was that fragile egos and those looking to build “elite teams” for their own ego and not for the betterment of the community, are dangerous. I was told by him that my son should not attend other clubs because the Bible says you should not “serve two masters”. His actions have repeatedly shown me that his ego will cause harm to anyone who does not fully follow him and only him. If you have questions, or would like more details I’d be happy to share if it means saving others from the experience we and many others have had. I wholeheartedly believe in the sport of wrestling and at one time, I believed in Chris Hopkins. It was a mistake I will never forget and neither will our family."

"I can’t say enough good things about this awesome program! My high school daughter has been involved in this club for the past two years. She’s been pushed to her limits and thrives in the culture & atmosphere this club provides. The coaches are positive, motivational, and encouraging which helps motivate wrestlers to be driven internally not just externally. A wrestler that follows their coaching in technique while catching their vision and purpose will be unstoppable on the mat. Kids’ self esteems are built up through the encouragement and character development that happens on and off the mat. They are also reminded to have good sportsmanship and humility rather than arrogance after a match is won. My daughter (without any previous wrestling experience) went to UIL State and also placed third in Freestyle State within one and a half years of being in this wrestling club."

"Youth wrestling club located at Round Rock High School. My son has been wrestling here for a couple of years now - we love it here. Coach Hopkins is here for the kids - this is not a program that seeks to makes money. His goal is to build a powerhouse High School wrestling program here in Round Rock and turn kids into productive citizens. In order to construct such a program it is imperative to also build a youth program that can feed into Round Rock High School Wrestling. If you are reading this review - you are looking for something for your son or daughter. Maybe you want them to be more active. Maybe you want them to learn the discipline and fortitude that is necessary to be successful in life. Maybe you want them to experience the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. This is a gym with core values - discipline, respect, integrity, determination. Check the ego at the door - All levels of wrestlers respected - from brand new beginners to those that compete at tournaments every weekend. My son went from a geeky newbie a couple of seasons ago to a 24-1 record last season. He has grown up in this program and learned a lot about what it takes to be successful in a highly competitive world. He loves Coach Hopkins and Coach Moreno and we are super excited about the 2023-24 Folkstyle season. If you live in Round Rock or anywhere close - I highly recommend you check it out."
