"I have been going to Dr. Pica for several years. I admit and with her have admitted to not being compliant with my contact over usage. Every year she would come in and talk to me about the risks of wearing my contacts longer than I should. I feel I always had a good open honest relationship with her. With that said the last appointment I had with her was awful. She stormed into the room telling me she couldn't see me anymore because of my non compliance. Did not say hi...just came in angry and making me feel horrible. I held back tears as she berated me. I am a mom to two young children. I work full time and I have put my health on the back burner, as any mom/dad can probably resonate with. Making appointments is difficult when a lot of the times appointments are only available during working hours. For her to come in and just attack me rather than treating me as a human and discussing how I can do better for myself was so cold to say the least. I have never been spoken to in that way from a doctor where I am paying for their services. She sent me a letter saying I had 30 days to find another doctor after this appointment. Which was fine I had no plans to return after her the ways she treated me. Before I got the letter I called to order my contacts. The lady stated the prescription had not been finalized and she would have to call me back. She lied. She knew she couldn't order the contacts for me because she had to confirm with Dr. Pica that the letter was received. She called me back to say she could send the prescription but couldn't order my contacts because Dr. Pica was not going to follow me!? However, the letter stated I had 30 days. Regardless their lack of honesty and compassion I wanted to be brought to attention. I would never refer anyone I know to fox valley."
"New patient called about 10am to speak to Melissa to set up my first appointment. Needed one same day and she advice they had an appointment available for today at 330. She asked me my personal information and phone number but seemed very distracted, the call was not even 5min when she said okay if I need anything else we will call you see you at 330pm. called after work to let them know I would be 5min late, to my surprise there was no appointment added. Lady who answered was very adamant about how there was not a possibility that I had talked to any of them (at Charles location) since they do not do same day appointments, she was not even remotely sorry about the misunderstanding but eager to get me off the phone. Called back to get a different appoint and right away I was greeted by another rep who was less friendly than the last one, and guess what she did find my information! So at someone point someone had taken my info just not set up my appointment , Still remained compliant and continue to set up an appointment for a later day, was put on hold so abruptly that I decided to disconnect the call. I think strike 3 is the limit. I hope they review their calls and coach all three representatives. Need better customer service. Patience is key ladies."
