"Pretty darn unnecessarily negative atmosphere…trainer always seemed stressed and rushed..had a hard time breaking information down for me. I wouldn’t recommend sending children there if they are even a little bit timid. Not a fan of how I saw horses treated either, hitting one after it finally let her catch it..don’t blame the horses for not wanting to be caught. Besides that, if their training style suits your learning needs, enjoy!"
"My two daughters started riding with Amy 5 years ago. At that time they were doing walk/trot events at local play days. They quickly progressed and my oldest daughter just qualified for and competed at the Texas High School Rodeo State Finals in pole bending! My younger daughter has her sights set on the Junior High State Finals for next year. Amy has helped them to become better riders, has helped us find the “right fit” horses for them, and has always gone above and beyond to insure their success. My daughters have also made great friends along the way. Amy always strives to make her students be the best riders they can be."
"Dear parents, Barrel racing is an incredibly amazing sport, if you are really dedicated and really want your daughter to do well, you will need a great trainer and coach. Speaking from experience We have been with Amy for about a year now and she has helped my daughter gain the skills and the confidence to win! Yes it's hard work! Amy is good at what she does and she will teach your daughter how to be the best rider she can be, but it will take good old fashioned handwork, practice and roll up your sleeves effort.. Rolling with the punches Your kid will have to work hard and if you want to see her succeed you will have to be one of those parents that can roll with the punches, yes that means through bad weather, muddy cars, smelly clothes, etc... 8) Is it worth it? With that said, my daughter has never shown such confidence and as parent, I have never been more proud of her accomplishments!! Thank you Amy Addison has come so far in such a short time, I am very excited to see what she can achieve under you guidance over the next few years!!!"
"Amy has done wonders for my daughter. She started here when she was 4 1/2 yrs old. She is now 7 yrs old and competing at a very high level. Great for riders of all ages and experience levels."
"I took my children there for lessons and out of 5 lessons, including the "trial" lesson, 3 of them were cancelled and had to be rescheduled. I asked for the last lesson of the month, that was cancelled, to be credited to the next month, and they dismissed us from lessons. They refunded what I paid for the upcoming lessons I prepaid for, but will not give me the $50 for the most recent cancelled lesson. Also, they are horrible at communicating and responding. They acted like my request for the credit to be applied to the next month was unreasonable. We were flexible and never negative about all the cancellations and make ups, but I just don't have the time to accommodate all the makeup lessons and I told them that, but they didn't care, as we were dismissed. They want all the flexibility and accountability from you and your payment, but yet they aren't willing to be flexible either. If you want a lot of cancelled lessons and theft of your money-- you've chosen the right place for lessons. My suggestion is to move on and find someone more trustworthy and accountable. Edit: They did offer to make up the last lesson in October AFTER they dismissed us- I think we're a little past that point. I totally get that things happen, but when it's that excessive, there needs to be other arrangements made for another instructor to do the lesson. Their "policies" are verbal, so they are making it sound like I signed a handbook, but no. The only thing I signed was a release waiver in the case my children got hurt."
