"this school is garbage. I can’t discribe the mental torture I’ve been through and I’m only a freshman and the discrimination with the dress code. Here’s the dress code rules, if you are pretty or popular u can dress however with no one caring, but if not then you can’t wear anything at all it seems like."

"This school and administration would get a negative score if it was allowed. My children attended liberty hill schools for 2 years one of my children was never enrolled because he was not allowed to attend because of his hair. May I add he is president of national honor society, straight A student who was welcomed with open arms to stay at his old district! He has had hair to his shoulders his entire life and the thought of cutting it gave him extreme anxiety on top of the stress of changing towns and schools. Weird our neighbors kid with a mullet, same length of my sons surfer style hair is allowed to have it. So now to the high school. First year was iffy for us, second year was a nightmare. My daughter who is an avid member of ffa was verbally abused by the ag teacher. He literally used profanity including the F word and threatened the entire ffa officer team to get rid of the program in all, if any of them discussed or spread rumors about the events that had occurred during the ffa officer election; which only involved the wrong doing of two students. We withdrew our daughter immediately now realizing this teacher is a bully and abusive to his students and colleagues. School should be a safe haven especially when it comes to the educators. After being suspended 1 week the district happily reinstated the ag teachers job. Since then this teacher has made inappropriate gestures to our daughter during state ffa events. We feel we have done everything in our power to keep our daughter safe from liberty hill teachers and administrators. We even hired an attorney in hopes the district would terminate this teacher and to help ensure the safety of all other students who may cross this teachers path. We have tried all avenues but lh stands by abusive teachers .....OH BUT THEY WONT STAND FOR A LONG HAIRED (straight A, perfect attendance)INNOCENT BOY! My point is this district is backwards. They do not support diversity and differences and are allowed to pick and choose who they discriminate against. Admin does not support parent involvement and is very much about control. They are proud to be extremely conservative but the academics compared to nearby schools like Cedar Park and Leander are a joke. Admin acts like the strict conservative rules make them better and nothing is further from the truth! If you are considering moving to liberty hill please do as much research as possible on the schools here. The high school and administration has been a huge disappointment to our family."

"We love this school. After leaving AISD, with all of the safety issues and discipline problems; the middle school, O'Henry became very disturbing in ways that one would expect from an inner-city school. The neighborhood elementary school that we attended, Bryker Woods was excellent. Unfortunately, the busing at the Middle School level and up, in order to "equalize" demographics, created a whole new dynamic that my girls were unprepared for. There were daily fights, drugs, sex in the bathrooms, condoms in the hallways, etc. When we moved to Liberty Hill at the beginning of the year, it was a huge relief. The staff is kind, and there is no need for the militant discipline that we experienced at O'Henry. Unfortunately, in AISD, there are no more neighborhood schools beyond the elementary level. With a son in college, we could not afford to live in Tarrytown and pay private school tuition for both of our girls for middle school and high school. Liberty Hill has an excellent academic curriculum (especially in pre-ap classes). We are very happy. Our girls feel much safer here."

"They have dress code on hair that's absolutely ridiculous. I have had long hair in the school and The Vice principal Always tries to dress code me, well here's a message to the school board: I have had long hair for literally a semester and none of the other kids care, so calling it a distraction is not a valid reason to make it a rule. And if any one from the school is reading this, I am making a petition for guys to sign about hair rules. Good Luck Liberty Hill High School. I would also like to add in that the principals are bias on who to dress code. I wear pentagrams and skinny jeans and they are always rude to me, but the people that wear crosses and dress normal and are part of a certain group get away with breaking rules, so if anything, the principals should be replaced."
