"The staff are all very nice and friendly but the cleanliness has decreased substantially over the last several months. The bathrooms are nasty with hair on the floors, overflowing trash cans, dirty toilets and sinks. The cleaning stations have been reduced which makes it hard to clean the equipment. People dont return items to their designated place and that can be frustrating. Parking is the worst but not much can be done about that."
"The staff is very warm, friendly and inviting. Mike is spectacular. He takes pride in his work and it shows on the gym floor. Lota is an amazing personal trainer. I see the way he takes careful consideration in how he treats and trains his clientele. Natalie is a great leader of her staff. Her leadership skills shine and she always greets guest as they arrive to the front desk. I go to many gyms in Houston (lifetime, LA Fitness and many others) and this particular one is definitely a vibe because of the dedicated staff."
"I've been coming to this location for over 20 years even back when I wasn't living around here because it was better than a lot of the other locations. Since they reopened after the pandemic lockdowns however, they just haven't been the same. They close at 8 PM on Sundays which is ridiculous but even with the limited hours of operation, the place is absolutely filthy unless you go early in the day. I'd like to think that the managers are not this blind to the stench and maybe leave too early in the day to realize how bad it gets in the afternoon and evening hours but then how do the other employees who stay not notice the mildew and dirty sock smell? I noticed that the gym responds on here to people so surely they read these reviews but why aren't they doing anything about it? The smell is just terrible. I was there last night (1-18-2024) and just couldn't stand it anymore. It was muggy with no air circulation and just a mildew smell. I thought I'd salvage my cardio and go to the basketball court where it was a little cooler but it smelled like weed in there and there was a shirtless guy. It's like there are no standards here anymore. I can forgive the shirtless guy and the weed smell, but there what but the floor there was nasty and sticky and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. The ball was pretty much black and my entire hands were covered in a black gunk after just 15 minutes. Again, I ask why nobody is noticing this from management? When we had the freeze earlier in the week I spent a few days out in Katy to look out after an elderly family member and went to their 24 hour fitness. The place was spotless- it smelled clean, the air was the perfect temperature, the locker rooms were clean, the basketball court was clean and the were open 24 hours. The Galleria location while not perfect is also much cleaner than here. Why is this location so neglected? All the other locations which survived closure have gone back 24 hour operation and are maintained- the Galleria location is back to normal."
"I worked out there for the first time the other night and overall I had a pretty good experience. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and got me set up fast with a membership. The gym overall is pretty clean minus a couple machines that didn’t work. The steam and sauna worked well. I went into a couple of the areas to see what they were about like the bicycle room, and the gym where they played basketball and everything looked good. my only real complaint is the area is a bit on the sketchy side. The parking lot was a little sketch, but I think if you go during the day you will be fine. Overall, I’m looking forward to working out here again."
"The staff can’t seem to open the doors on time. This happens 3-4 times a month where we show up at opening time and nobody shows up to open the door for another hour or 2. Everyone is stuck waiting in the parking lot. We’ve contacted upper management and they don’t do anything about it. Yes the price is cheap but half the time you don’t get to even workout."
