"Working with Dr. Chan has been the best decision we made for postpartum and our baby. Our son was a little jaundice after he was born, and I was able to message Dr. Chan while we were still in the hospital to figure out a solution we could do at home (the bilirubin blanket) versus staying an extra day in the hospital and doing the light bed. Her response time is incredible and messaging is through a secure app. She has connections for things I’m not sure most pediatricians would even know to suggest (a special pharmacy for a diaper rash cream we needed, a lady who could take our baby’s blood sample over the weekend, the bilirubin blanket that was delivered same-day, and a postpartum group that meets on Saturdays for newborn massage). Having a lactation consultant who visits in-home has also been amazing. It’s just more comfortable to be able to chat with her, feed baby on his schedule, and have her help with the latch from the comfort of my rocking chair! I developed mastitis over Thanksgiving and initially messaged my OB and soon after messaged Dr. Chan. She responded in like two minutes with some questions, links of ways to help it, a probiotic recommendation, and ultimately an antibiotic prescription I was able to pick up over the holiday. When my OB responded four days later I almost laughed at the contrast! My fourth trimester would not have been nearly as seamless if it wasn’t for Dr. Chan’s support. I would recommend Blossom Pediatrics whether you’re having your first baby, or your fifth!"

"Dr Chan-Ramirez did a home visit for us after my son had a tongue tie released in the hospital and I still had concerns about it. She did a thorough assessment and gave us recommendations that have already been so helpful without us having to go through another procedure. She is one of the most knowledgeable and experienced physicians in Houston about breastfeeding in general but especially tongue tie assessment and treatment, I would highly recommend her to anyone with breastfeeding concerns!"
