"I have learnt Carnatic singing on and off since I was 10 years old under a few teachers. It has taken me 15 years to finally find a wonderful teacher, who I am blessed to call my guru. "Mrs Hema Malini Manju Chavali is my Kuchipudi dance Guru/teacher.I joined Guru Parampara school of Arts two years back. I’m a mother and a full-time working professional. I have been a Kuchipudi dance enthusiast since my childhood and I feel extremely lucky to have found Mrs Hema Chavali as my teacher as she brings in the authentic experiences and discipline of her Guru  Padmabhushan Dr Vempati Chinna Satyam Garu under whose tutelage she  mastered Kuchipudi dance, Carnatic music, nattuvangam and involved in several dance dramas choreographed by Dr Vempati garu. Mrs Hema Chavali not only is diligent with formations or steps/Jathis but explains the dance compositions ( sahityam) with detailed meaning from their original Sanskrit/Telugu languages into easily applicable vocabulary in English) . Because of my age and being in beginner items, I share my classroom with 10 yr old through teenage and adult students. Regardless of our varied age groups I am amazed with Mrs Hema ‘s exceptional teaching skills where she breaks any complex dance step into simple easy to understand format and tailors the lesson to each individual student. Instead of strict mundane curriculum for a group she encourages students to learn and evolve based on their practice and skill bringing in a positive disciple through encouragement, excellent mentorship,  moral values, humility, and timeliness.
