"I debated on whether or not to post a review here but after much deliberation I feel it is necessary for others to be aware of the obvious weakness in the practice of HIPAA privacy. After coming across a review that specifically named Rebecca Ryback as an employee of this office who violated HIPAA I immediately became alarmed. This woman had been stalking me for well over a year, so knowing she potentially had access to my personal information was very unsettling news for me. I immediately emailed the privacy practices department and requested assistance to see whether this woman accessed my records. I was informed that she did in fact get into my records not once but 12 times from Nov of 2020 to Mar of 2021! Not only mine but my boyfriend's (Rebecca's ex) 29 times from Jan of 2020 to Feb of 2021 and also my son's records twice in Dec of 2020. While I do not know how they carry out these audits I can tell you there are flaws within their methods. While the woman that wrote the review that triggered my request for an audit was having her records reaudited Rebecca was actively looking into my boyfriend's records and immediately after that audit Rebecca started looking in my records. Rebecca had been employed at this office for around 20 years I can only imagine how many Mercy patient's HIPAA rights have been violated by this woman and gone undetected. Mercy needs to step it up. How is it this is a OB/GYN office and this woman was able to access the medical records of multiple male patients and it doesn't throw a red flag? She violated HIPAA and was allowed to keep her job and because of that she was able to violate my HIPAA rights and my family's which allowed her access to my home address with which she used to begin stalking me at my home for the last year and a half. This should scare you to know that this sort of thing is possible and you would never know your medical privacy was breached unless you requested an audit of your records. While Rebecca Ryback does not work at this office any longer she from what I understand went to another medical office. Ridiculous! Be aware that you have no recourse for HIPAA violations such as this unless you can take the violator to civil court. Mercy will do nothing for you. The damages will be done and that's it."

"I am not a patient and never have been. This office allowed their employee Rebecca Ryback to access my medical records along with other family members for her own personal gain. We received HIPAA violation notices after filing complaints notifying us that they were indeed valid complaints, yet she is still employed. Your privacy is not valued or promised here. Beware"

"I have been seeing Dr Auer for over a year at this clinic and can’t say enough good things about her and the staff. From my many prenatal appointments to the birth of my child, she took excellent care of me and made sure the experience was what I wanted. It could not have gone smoother, even during the midst of a global pandemic. If you want a personable and knowledgeable OB-GYN who cares for you and is hilarious, check her out! And Drs Peyton, Hutz and Carroll are pretty great as well ;)"

"I have been coming here for 15 years and started with Dr. Freeman. I have always had a great experience through the birth of my two children and just for my yearly visits. I have seen each physician and nurse practitioner and they are all wonderful. All the girls in the office are great as well!"
