"I am a student at Bradley University and was assigned to do a report on an organization dedicated to improving community health. One of the requirements was to interview an individual within the organization. The person I spoke to was Diana Scott, a communications manager and media liaison. I will preface that I should have been more prepared for this phone call, but Diana tried to teach me a lesson with her pompous attitude towards me. Making me reintroduce myself to her like I am someone in need of humbling. All of the information I possibly could have asked was present on their website, so I just wanted to ask a quick question on her personal thoughts about the impacts they have had on the community. The last thing she said to me was "You might want to ask who you are speaking to because there is an extreme difference between talking to a clerk who only answers the phone and someone who makes executive decisions within the organization." It sounded like she just wanted to gloat about how high she is within the agency. Why would I call her directly if I did not know who she was? The goal of this call was to take as little of her time as possible. She made what could've been a 3 minute call, into an 8 minute one by lecturing me. Not intending to get anything out of this review, but it is extremely unfortunate that a leader in public health has a manager in communications with this attitude. It is the type of behavior that make people distrust their local government agencies."
"Rita has excellent customer service. Works really well with children. Now that my children met her they are no longer scared to see the dentist(rita)! "Love the care my kids get at the dental clinic. They’re very caring and try their hardest to get you in and out. We had Rita today for both my kids extractions and she did wonderful with both my children making them feel calmer and safe. Thanks for all your hard work!!"
"All of the staff are always phenomenal with my children! They are very accommodating, caring and understanding of how nervous young children can be! Dr. Bishop and her dental staff is astonishing and I would recommend them to everyone!!"
"Never again was my final words exiting this facility. The dental staff is very unprofessional. During the first visit the dental assistant attempted to retrieve X-rays on a five year olds mouth. In her unsuccessful attempts she said "little boy" you have to stay still. Excuse me? Where is the comfort measures? He's five and this is unfamiliar to him. You should learn patience or maybe you shouldn't work with children. Following appointment again experience from another dental assistant lacking professionalism. She told me to make my child be quiet because her and the dentist were done with the procedure. Instead of providing empathy with my other child 4 years of age who had just undergone a procedure that has inflicted pain, she wanted me to leave my 5 year old behind and silence my other child. Where is the compassion? The dental environment is unfamiliar and frightening to children. Now my 5 year old is having a fill-in and he's screaming "ouch" the dental assistant said no no there is no ouch! You don't know his pain! How dare you silence his tears? Ridiculous! Than the dentist stated, "he was moving so I got the fill-in the best I could." If it falls out just come back. Wait! Excuse me? Did they teach you to do an incomplete job in dental school? Why would you leave a parent with uncertainty about the work you completed? I would not recommend you bring your children here!"
