"Personally I love this theatre I have watched plenty of plays here over the years such as little shop of horrors back in January (which my brother directed) and rocky horror picture show in October! I always loved the excitement that came with watching these productions"
"In October, I booked a hotel in Rockford, made a reservation at a restaurant in Freeport and brought some friends to see my hometown and attend the Rocky Horror Picture show. My ticket and subsequent information from them showed a start time of 7:30 and I have a screen shot from their website to prove it. Got there at 7pm to and empty building. The girl working said someone would be out shortly to give us prop bags. After checking out tickets we find out the show does not begin until 9:30 pm. When I inquired I was told I should have been sent an email with the correction. I wasn't and we had plans after the show with friends in Rockford so we had to pass on attending. I was told I would be receiving a refund for the mishap. Katie, the manager has come up with a lot of reasons as to why It has not yet arrived. It is now almost January. Its not so much the money as the principle. I realize this business is run on a volunteer basis but I wouldn't recommend this establishment."
"The show was great: funny, spooky, dramatic. Everyone on stage was wonderful to watch. "Mario" even kept character during blackouts with his characters limp. Marvelous! The only negative to the afternoon was the theater itself; the seats are horrible! Tight and so small that when you want to relax on the armrest, you end up in your neighbors lap. Plus, they don't have anything but street parking avaiable. Not fun for seniors. But again, the show was great and can't wait for the next one, which is a comedy."
"Our first time attending this theatre. We are recently new to the local theater / playhouse shows. We had fun; saw our first dark drama I guess you'd call it. A cast of only 5 did an amazing job. Not a huge theatre, but big enough. Light snacks and beverages available at intermission, including beer from local brewery."
"My group really enjoyed it. Mostly relatives of Zachary (Prof. Plum) but really, it was funny, no swearing, clean and up beat. The whole cast was "on" that Friday. A group from our congregation is coming Sat. So we're looking forward to it."
