"Stay way! Dirty! Old! Dated! Hard spring mattress! Old smelly carpet! Toilet had poop stains! No hot water in the sink! Black Spots found on bed and pillows! Stains on walls! Would not recommend!"

"Stayed over the weekend during NIU's Friends/Family weekend. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the tvs were decent, however the hotel was disgusting. I will say compared to the other reviews it wasn't as bad, however, my room still fell short. There was a strong smoke smell, the caulk trimmings were deteriorating. The bathroom apparently had just recently been updated (new flooring added) however the shower was outdated, the toilets barely flushed, and towels were low quality. My family and I did not feel clean leaving after our stay. The place as a whole just needs and upgrade from new carpet to upgraded bathrooms. I would only recommend as a last resort for somewhere to pullover off of the road to catch up on a few hrs of sleep in an emergency situation."

"It is a mark of good customer service when one is confronted with a bad situation and superior treatment turns it around. Priceline made a mistake in what hotels allow dogs as this one does not, but the woman who checked is in very late was and kind and helpful as could be. She did what she could to make the situation better for us and truly went above and beyond; a genuine and quality person. The manager the next morning was similarly helpful. The hotel itself is good, clean, basic and decent breakfast, but the employees are a step above. Thanks for the kindness."
