"I had a great stay! Idk where some of these negative reviews come from, because most of what they said wasn’t true! Check-in was easy, friendly. Clear instructions about where and how to park. Warm cookies. Access to Applebees is adjacent and you don’t have to go outside. Staff at Applebees was great. Room was attractive, clean, had microwave and frig. Clean bath, well stocked."

"We got a King size on the 8th floor. Looking west, great view, very clean. Cleanest hotel room we’ve stayed in for years! You could tell they wiped down surfaces. No hairs left in the tub. The bed was very comfortable. We did not try the breakfast , we went to Panera across the street. Great location with different varieties of restaurants within 2 blocks of the hotel. The customer service could use a little work. Never have I been yelled to from the back office behind the desk. I was unaware I was supposed to go to the back office for check in. I waited at the desk while she yelled for me 4 times, she finally got out of her chair and came to the front counter to check me in."

"Wonderful experience during my stay at this hotel. My room was very spacious, and clean. The microwave in the room was very convenient for heating leftovers. Great location also, right in the heart of the central west end, with many restaurants and bars. Walking distance to forest park also. Terry, Lyn and the rest of the staff were awesome. Thanks so much for all your help!"

"Very poor front desk service when checking in. Staff were unfriendly and seemed bothered to help us. The room I had selected online on the app was not available as the prior guests had reserved for additional days. There was no apology from the front desk for this. We were never offered the cookie at check-in that is the trademark of the hotel. Parking was very inconvenient due to construction, and we had to walk around to the front with our bags after parking in the back deck of the building. No valet parking was offered. No complimentary coffee/tea or water in the lobby. No free continental breakfast available despite being a Hilton Honors member. For just a single cup of coffee in the morning, there was a charge. Overpriced low budget hotel. We do not recommend this DoubleTree hotel."

"I stayed at this location for a work trip. Before I get into my review, I understand there are some things that can not be helped by the staff at the hotel. They were able to let me into a room much earlier then normal check in time, which was wonderful since I had been driving all day and just needed to rest. The women working the front desk was very friendly and gave us cookies. However, the room I received was butted up to the parking garage. So a lot of the night I heard people coming and going and the beeping of cars. On my last day I was woken up at 6am to construction. The AC in the room was the loudest and most rattling vent I have heard in my life. It shut on and off with such force it did wake me up. Over all, not a bad hotel. The room was huge, the shower hot, and everything you might need in walking distance. Just be aware that if you are a light sleeper, or are needing a quiet getaway, this might not be for you while construction is going on."
