"Friendly front desk clerk who let us pick which room we wanted. Very reasonably priced. AC cranks. Hot and cold water work great. Tile in the bathroom. Microwave and fridge, nice tv with tons of channels, a working land line in the room, plenty of outlets and mirrors. Wifi was spotty but I didnt work very hard to get it to work better. Kinda pretty view in the morning. Most hotels in this price range in the quad cities are total dumps, tons of stupid rules, always hassles with deposits, nothing works right. This hotel almost made me forget I was in the quad cities. I'm a little OCD so no hotel room is ever clean enough for me, but other reviews either were really exaggerated or they just came at a bad time. I would be happy to stay at this hotel again."
"This place is an absolute DUMP! BF went fishing at Hennepin Canal over the weekend and we needed a place to stay for one night. Every 3+ star rated hotel in the area and within 5 miles was completely booked. We've winged it before, traveled to the area with no hotel reservations and managed to find a 3+ star rated hotel with available rooms at the last moment. That was not the case this time. The exterior of the property was run-down and not well maintained. The room smelled like it hadn't been aired out in a long time; very musty smelling The beds were ok, but by the look and smell of the room I assumed the sheets weren't clean although they didn't look or smell dirty. I had clean beach towels which I put over the sheets and slept on. The wooden furniture was very old. There was a desk, chair, table, refrigerator and microwave. I was afraid to open the refrigerator and microwave. Thankfully, we didn't need to use them. The bathroom was questionable. The towels looked like they've lived a long life and we're long over due to be retired. The toilet and sink were ok, no signs of aging and worked well. The shower stall floor looked like it hasn't been cleaned or disinfected. There was no hand soap and about an inch of toilet paper left. I saved the best for last, the carpet. It was very heavily stained with who knows what. DISGUSTING! After this experience, there will be no more winging it. I will make sure we have reservations at one of the 3+ star rated hotels."
"When things need repaired they tend not to fix the pipe under my bathroom sink leaks I told them but haven't fixed in approximately 3-4 months and longer and the wall plate in shower needs screws the luggage rack in room is also away from the wall all simple"
"This place has really declined. The lobby smells mouldy, as do the rooms. The breakfast is very marginal. There is a holiday inn Express in Madison that I would highly recommend as a much better alternative. The only reason I gave this place one star is that the system does not allow a zero rating. Don't waste your money"
"Nice people but I refuse to sleep with roaches and bedbugs was there maybe 4 hours and left. Food splattered on the wall looks like It's been there forever. Disgusting and when I told the owner he said he'll look into it? I may as well have thrown my money in the garbage"
