"I bought a mattress at this place and took it home. I took the plastic off then looked at the tags. One tag said that the mattress was made with used materials. The brand is Chicago Mattress Company. I looked the company up and it's a company in downtown Chicago that recycles used mattresses and puts new covers on them. I thought the mattress was new. I called the guy up and he said I could return it. Just be aware that these aren't new mattresses."
"This place is amazing! Not only do they have the best store deals! I love the color tags!! Makes it exciting to shop! Plus Thanks for all the help you do with the community your gratitude is Noticed and Dubuque is very Thankful."
"My husband and I have stopped here twice while in Dubuque and we will be back! This is one of the best second-hand stores in town. Prices have increased, but they have everywhere so that should be expected! We found so many items that were a good deal! Clean, well organized with friendly staff! Much more reasonable prices than Goodwill or Stuffs in town whose prices have become much, much to high! We don't even stop at those 2 anymore! I would recommend this place to any thrift store lovers!"
"So many items had these little post it notes on them. The point of a thrift store is to buy stuff inexpensively. If I wanted to pay eBay prices, I would shop on eBay. You also can't compare a marketplace of over 130 million active buyers to the 100 or so people that might visit a thrift store in a day. It's basic business. So many thrift stores have extremely increased their prices during the pandemic, and so many tags were months old too. So many people I know have quit shopping thrift stores, and if these places continue being greedy, it WILL be there downfall."
"Staffers Angie and Diane were most helpful, accommodating and friendly. The thrift store was clean and well organized. Love their book section. Keep donations coming! Joyce Gibbs (author)"
