"I want to first Thank The Childs Law Firm for representing our family, saving our son from losing joint custody of his son. You were very precise, and professional from the beginning to the end. If you want a good attorney, Erika Childs is definitely someone that I would recommend. She isn't going to sugar coat your situation, but analyze what's best for YOU and the Child. It may start out uneasy, but she will put your mind to ease. I wish we had her from the beginning we wouldn't be going through this now. Thank you again Attorney, this will be my Attorney from her and out, oh she just not a custody Lawyer, you better check her out, she is the one."
"Mrs. Child’s accepted my case in a moments notice. Her staff was kind and accommodating when scheduling my consultation. She met with me on a Saturday just to get the ball rolling and was present for my hearing although she was in the middle of trial in another county. She showed up for my family when we needed her. I will definitely trust her firm with any family court matters in the future."
"Looks like this firm can't handle their bad reviews and deny them. My experience was similar to all the one star reviews so where's the lie? I hired the law firm two years ago for an eviction case. They were 100% unorganized and unprofessional i constantly had to be contacting them and rarely got anywhere. My case was delayed nearly a year because of their incompetence ? Or just the mere fact they didn't care to do the job. They have a portal to send messages, but barely respond. I emailed and would call and nothing. I had to cc 3 people on an email the day BEFORE i had my court date and that's when they finally chose to call me to talk to me about the case. We got the case appealed and i got my property but not due to her. I had to go and file paperwork myself that they stated they would do. Wasted time and wasted money."
"I retained Mr. Childs after I was served divorce papers. I was a little nervous with the judicial process. I didn't want to take a major loss on my personal life nor my business. Ms. Childs explained to me how things could go and could not go. More importantly, how the law works. Ms. Childs got me though this. The approach taken was let's do this with the least amount of impact to your finances. Meaning let's not drag this out over a small issue, it will cost you more than it's worth. She handled the mediation well and with confidence. When the final decree was drafted by the plaintiffs attorney. There was things that was added and somethings that was missing. She made sure that the final decree, mirrored the mediation agreement that was signed by both parties involved. We had to play phone tag due to my busy schedule and her busy schedule due to her being in court or in an mediation. Overall she was committed and we made it work. I received the out come that I wanted from the divorce and I'm very pleased. Ms. Childs will be my go to attorney on other needs"
"I hired Eraka to write a contract for my business, she seemed great at first, very competent and pleasant to speak with over the phone. I was so excited to have found someone who seemed like they knew what they were doing that didn't charge $1,000 for a contract. At first it seemed like she had just taken on too much. She told me she'd have my contract completed in 2 days, it ended up taking closer to a week. Not a big deal, I had provided her with a copy of the current contract I was using to work off of, but I was also expecting some advice from her like if there were things I hadn't included that would be good to have for legal reasons...she was the professional, right? So, a week later she sends me the contract and we set up a phone call to discuss it, I was expecting her to walk me through all of the legal jargon and explain to me what certain things meant and why she'd chosen to include them. Instead it was more like she had expected me to have read through it with a fine tooth comb and have questions for her. It made me feel extremely unprepared, although I did have a few questions for her and some other things I'd like to add, she said she'd make the changes and get back to me. Several weeks went by and I hear nothing, I emailed her multiple times and ended up having to call her office and schedule yet another phone call with her. This one went worse than the first, she acted like she had no idea I was waiting on her to make changes, then randomly offered a slew of other suggested changes for the contract which as you can guess, I never got. I finally just gave up, it became clear to me that she had gotten her money for the contract and had no interest in actually working with me to make sure it had everything I needed. It seems like she has good reviews for other things so maybe she's just not a good contract lawyer, I don't know, but I wish I would've just hired one of the $1,000 lawyers from the get-go. Now, I've invested $300 in a contract that isn't complete and I don't really understand."
