"Wow, I wish I would have read the reviews about Randa Djendou prior to the visit. It was a disappointing visit with her. The things stated that were addressed were not, which caused billing errors. I would NOT recommend her as a primary care physician. She’s not about improving health, but how much she can get from a visit."
"She doesn’t want to treat. She also doesn’t treat anything chronic.called and I was really sick. Tried to refer me to another clinic doesn’t want you there if you’re sick and refused to do a video chat. And if you have anxiety/depression she wants to just refer you to a psychiatrist. IMHO, she is completely useless as a physician. I left feeling as helpless as I did when I walked in. Avoid her at all costs."
"I had to cancel my first appointment, work, completely my fault. They couldn't reschedule me for 3 weeks. I waited the 3 weeks anyhow and was going to go, then they call me the day before and tell me the doctor had an emergency and they have to reschedule. Completely understand, things come up, as I stated when I started I had to cancel. Then when we went to reschedule, she wanted me to wait 2 more weeks, I would have been out of meds for 3 weeks and there is 0 the staff would do to help me with that. I just moved and was trying to establish a new PCP, it will not be here."
"She is kind, sometimes blunt and the staff are kind. Sometimes I do feel the appointment is rushed and she will jump to a diagnosis before fully hearing you. I just jump back in and finish what I am saying .Lol. She will recommend every test and specialist in order to get the correct diagnosis and help with your needs which is good! I feel she aims to get her patients off medications and find other solutions for your needs or lessen the amount of medications, which I appreciate. *I say blunt because she made a comment one day, my last appointment actually, which she had not seen me for nearly 8 months at the time, that really offended me. After seeing my weight only went up 3lbs in almost a years she looked at me and said, "it shows you've only gained 3lbs since November but to me it looks like you gained a lot more. I don't understand." At first I didn't really process what she had said but after it clicked I couldn't believe it. Regardless of what it may appear, which according to the scale she was wrong, the way she said that was unprofessional and shouldn't have been said. Other than that she is always really sweet. * The lady who was very rude to me was a phlebotomist. I let the other staff know and I believe it was taken care of because I haven't seen her since. Apparently it wasn't her first offense. She's still my doctor and it's because I feel comfortable with her and the staff, she tries everything to find an answer or something to help you and no one is perfect. Some times we all have bad days. It's life ."
"I recently visited Dr. Randa Djendou for dizziness that I have been experiencing recently. While I attempted to tell her of my symptoms, she repeatedly interrupted me, trying to quickly give me a diagnosis without listening to me speak. She was obviously in a rush. I tried to tell her more about what I was feeling but she had already diagnosed me and referred me to another specialist. The nurse told me I had high blood pressure for my age (I had been told this in the past too) so I asked Dr. Djendou about it. She completely dismissed my concern and replied “Everyone in this office has high blood pressure because they have been waiting for me to arrive for an hour! Don’t worry, you don’t have high blood pressure.” She did not even consider the fact that I have been told that I have high blood pressure in the past. She told me she would print out information about her diagnosis and that she would “be right back”. A couple of minutes later, the nurse returned with my referral to an ENT and told me I was good to go. I asked if Dr. Djendou was coming back, because I still had unanswered questions. The nurse told me that she was already with her next patient and that in order to ask my questions, I would have to schedule another appointment. Dr. Djendou did not even give me the information she said she was going to. She spent about 10 minutes MAX evaluating me and then left in a rush. Every patient has the right to feel taken care of and have ALL of their questions answered. This is not the way I felt leaving her office. I left feeling like no one cared at all about my health and like they just wanted me out of their way. I should not have to leave the doctor with unanswered questions about my health and have to schedule another appointment just to have these questions answered. I will not be returning to Dr. Djendou or Houston Methodist if this is the way that patients are treated."
