"I have to say that cancer is a scary thing. I had prostate treatment at the Reyna Cancer Center. It had spread to my limp nodes in my left groin. I also have ulcerative colitis. I had always heard that those conditions needed to be treated with surgery. I was skeptical. I won’t say that everything is a real breeze. It is not. I had to be there 5 days a week for 9 weeks about 30 minutes a day and I live in Del Rio. Luckily I was able to stay with my daughter and her family. What I can tell you is that everyone there went out of their way to make an uncomfortable situation as good as it could have been. I met with Dr Selva every week and I almost always had some questions or a minor problem. He had good direct answers for them. From the time the process started everyone made me feel comfortable. It is a special team there. When you walk in, it seems their goal is to have you back on the road in about 30 minutes total. If you experience a delay, they are having some sort of problem. I was always met with a nice and positive attitude. The M and M team did most of my procedures. They were excellent as were all of the others. I felt so comfortable with these people that I brought in breakfast kolaches or donuts for the office a few times. They were helping me through a crisis. If you have cancer, I recommend them fully. Nobody thinks it will happen to them, but it does. I am also happy to report that I have been to 2 followup Dr appointments with Dr Stallman. What a great guy also. Presently I have a PSA count of less than .1, I could not have ever expected anything better than this. Thanks to this very smart, concerned, and friendly team. Both of my groin lymph nodes were treated at the same time as the prostate. My life was definitely in their hands and will continue to be. Thanks to all so much. Bill Kingsbery"

"When I first “signed up” to undergo 40 days of radiation therapy after my prostate removal, Reyna Cancer Center to me was just another medical facility of the several I’d been to in my journey to get “well”. Had to be done, so Reyna was the closest and where I elected to get my treatments. I expected a cold, impersonal, melancholy, experience over the duration of the treatments. My expectations were quickly and pleasantly put to rest as my daily visits became a surprisingly upbeat part of the day. From the front office staff, the nursing staff, the actual people performing the treatments, to Dr. Selva himself, all people I dealt with at Reyna proved to be cheerful, humane, informative, and just plain nice. Even developed a sense of camaraderie with other “regulars” out in the waiting area. While this is a business, with a serious purpose, the daily experience proved to be a feel good part of my day thanks to the Reyna staff. I could name names, but I’ll just say I miss many of the people I interfaced with in my course of treatment. Highly recommended."

"The Reyna Cancer Center is an exceptionally well-run facility. I was very impressed by the professionalism of Dr. Selva and all the staff at the center. Probably the most noteworthy aspect of my appointments was that I do not recall a single time when the Doctor or the staff members were not either early or on time. For one who has spent as much time as I have waiting on doctors over the last year this is downright unheard of. The unfailing cheerfulness and friendliness of the staff was greatly appreciated. Needless to say, along about the 7th or 8th week I was not the most pleasant person to be around. Yet the operators and nurses still treated me like a human being even if I did not act like one. While I will not know the final results of my treatment for a few months, I have noticed substantial improvement."

"When I started my radiation treatment at the Reyna center my PSA number were at 20. Following the treatment, 3 months later, they went down to 1.2. The staff is great at the Reyna center. Each treatment is about 20 minutes, total, including dressing down and back. Every body is very professional and makes you feel comfortable. Weekly you meet with Dr. Selva and he checks how you are doing with the treatment. I am glad I opted for the radiation therapy treatment."
