"Sitting in waiting room now after signing in at 11:05 for an 11:30 appt. Its 12:45 and have been told it will be 5-10 min more for an hour now. Disrespectful!"

"Two years ago my primary care physician did blood work on my and my PSA was 18.4 . He refered me to Dr Applewhite at Urology Associates. Dr Applewhite had a biopsy done on my prostate, it found that I had prostate cancer. I was then refered to Dr Barker at Texas Oncology 8th ave. Dr Barker was great he throughly explained what was happening and what options were available and what he recommended. He did some more test. And it was decided that I'd get Radiation therapy ( 44 treatments , Monday- Friday for 9 weeks) and injections to reduce my testosterone level. My Radiation therapy ended just over a year ago, now I only go once every six months. I actually miss going for my Radiation therapy, the radiation therapist were great everyone there was great. When you get there you change clothes then the men and women have separate rooms to change and wait for your turn. You get to know other patients while you wait, and everyone gets along really well . The whole experience was great even though you're there for cancer treatments. I totally would recommend that if you get cancer you go to Texas Oncology. Well it's been two full years now since I first saw Dr Barker and my PSA is still 0.01 . Thanks Dr Barker."
