"The Staff at Copperfield Animal Clinic provide a environment of comfort and care. The Doctors there are very personable and always take the time to ask how I am as well as my dog. The Doctors show and explain to me the diagnosis for my dog. They involve me 100% and want to make sure I have a clear understanding of the situation. I am from a small town in East Texas where a true unique doctor patient relationship still exits. I feel at "Home" at Copperfield Animal Clinic. They provide a sense of "Okayness" when the situation could be very stressful. They are reasonably priced and place the animals care first. I highly recommend Copperfield Animal Clinic."
"Excellent service and care! You can tell they love what they are doing. Very thoughtful and professional and offer a variety of services including boarding."
"WORST VET!! Do not recommend! They DO NOT CARE about your babies! Read all the 1 star reviews, they are all similar!!! Missed Diagnosis. They are just giving you a diagnosis so you will leave their clinic. I told the Vet at Copperfield Animal Clinic what was going on and the Vet kept telling me he looks fine. He is walking normal (with a limp and dragging his hinge leg?). Was persistent in getting the blood work that I got 5 days ago (which was normal). NEVER mentioned to do a X-RAY or anything else. Lots of back and forth, I was frustrated and left. As we were walking out of the room to pay. His legs gave up on him, he fell and he peed (he is house/ potty trained). The Vet heard and requested to get a sample of his pee, I agreed. Shocker… they diagnosed him with urinary tract infection. Prescribed some meds and then bought up if I smoked marijuana. What?!? I said no, and she mentioned that sometime dogs can act weird, if they accidentally eat it. Then she started LAUGHING at my baby saying that he looks high. So UNPROFESSIONAL when I am worried about him. Long story short, I had to take him to the urgent care the next night and later had received a call, he had a seizure and passed. I am so ANGRY at how Copperfield Animal Clinic handle the situation. They DID NOT listen to me, I ask if he needed an X-RAY and the Vet said it was unnecessary, she did not refer us to a a specialist or NEUROLOGIST, they said he is walking normal and the limp was probably due to when he jumped off the couch (he doesn’t jump on the couch/ bed) or stepped wrong, and most of all the Vet laughing and making fun of my baby when he was in the most painful state of his life. Few days later, I was able to talk to the owner but she just kept giving me excuses! How she needed a vacation and this was her first vacation in years, she is stressed and tired, and how hard it is to find help these day and the Vet that helped her was the best she could find. Frustrated I asked for the unnecessary bloodwork money back, her comment was “would that really make you feel better” I was shocked to hear that and that made me furious!! If they had sent me to a neurologist that day Cooper could’ve probably still be here!!"
"I would stay far from this place. They are impatient and very rough with my tiny Chihuahua. They gave him 3 shots in one day and he had big been the same since. This is my first dog so I trusted it would be ok. They won't take any accountability nor have they checked on my dog! They are just about the money!! They open at 7am with no Dr available until 9 as well."
"Paid almost $200 for a single vaccine booster visit. They may have been better during normal times but I would not take any of your dogs here nowadays because they are only trying to make an extra buck off of you now. I will not be returning. I was very dissatisfied with the way the vet and worker informed me during my first visit when I asked questions and ended up paying almost $200 for vaccines and services my puppy did not need. They talked very quickly when explaining things and insisted she needed certain vaccines and services. It was my fault for not doing better research before going and being too trusting... when I did research later on because I felt very uncomfortable with the price it turned out my puppy didn’t need half the things they prescribed and they should have at least asked me questions about her lifestyle before issuing all those vaccines... she was sick for a day afterwards from all the shots. I understand these are difficult times and money is tight but it isn’t easy for the customers either and I will definitely be changing my services to a place that cares more about the customer than making money off of him/her. Take your dog elsewhere unless you don’t mind giving away your money... I’ll give a star though because they did handle Nina well- however there was clearly a discrepancy between what I should have paid going in and what ended up on my bill. I only went for a vaccine booster but was talked into paying almost $200."
