"I am someone who tries to handle everything on my own but sometimes the court will ignore you as a pro se litigant. It was by chance that Paul responded to a post I made about my ongoing situation. This was at a time that my anxiety level was off the charts! It was on very short notice but he believed me and drove nearly an hour to support me. He has paid attention and listened to me. He is 100% honest and genuinely cares about doing a good job for his clients. I was impressed with him in court and he successfully got my eviction dismissed. I highly recommend him as an attorney you can trust completely."
"I first worked with Paul on a rental issue and I found him to be extremely honesty and helpful. He was also very fair in his pricing, which was important since I was a student at the time. I later came back to his practice for help with consumer protection where he helped advise my elderly father on a potential predatory real estate scheme. I don’t think you could find a more empathetic, fair, and honest lawyer."
"I had hired Paul for several cases, in recently years. He has been always a trustworthy, ethical, honest guy, and also reasonably priced. We regard each other as friends now. Paul needs to improve at being more responsiveness and being organized, but I still strongly recommend him as anyone's attorney."
"I write this 5 years past my case with Paul representing me because as the dust has settled and I have time to reflect with less shock and awe, I am still seeing how much damage and loss I have incurred by using Paul to defend me and represent me which he did so carelessly. Paul stepped into my case after my first attorney did a breach of confidence with my case and I had to scurry to find another. Paul was new in Austin and was working with a program to help clients pay less with new area attorneys. They gave me his name after I fired the first attorney they suggested. I was left with no money by my ex to protect my few assets left, and Paul assured me he could protect what I had left as the first attorney did a poor job and with the breach of confidence I would not trust her further. I had a daughter to raise and my ex made it very clear he would take every penny we had and also try to make me pay for his extravagant living he did after he left. As we have a State which makes the other party responsible for debts until divorce, I wanted to freeze all of this spending and also freeze what was left to split. This included 401k money, retirement funds etc. I had a reduced fee with Paul but I still was paying by the hour which added up quickly and expected decent representation after leaving the first lawyer I had to fire. Therefore Paul promised me he would take care of my assets and needs thoroughly because a judge would not allow accounts being drained. I knew from others that they had legal things to do to freeze assets but Paul talked me out of using such legalities. He also was going to need to call witnesses from my ex’s previous employers to help prove he had work options he tried to skirt for low child support, etc. Paul did not contact his ex employers in time to do anything to help the case, he did not file the paperwork or do the legal things to freeze accounts. My ex drained accounts with no problem. No work witnesses meant no accountability towards his earning potential or possible earnings. So I lost thousands and thousands from drained 401k and retirement accounts. I received little child support when needed. Paul said he was surprised a Judge would allow that.. Why do they make legalities to freeze accounts during a divorce to begin with Paul?"
