"I love this office. The front desk staff are so kind and friendly. Dr. Landaverde and her staff are also caring. I have been in great hands here getting care for my autoimmune hepatitis."
"I had an incredibly frustrating experience with this service. Despite numerous attempts, scheduling did not return my calls, leaving me in the dark about important matters. Additionally, I requested to fax orders, but after waiting for three days, there was still no progress. The lack of communication and delay in fulfilling requests is highly disappointing. I hope they can improve their customer service and responsiveness in the future."
"I have finally decided to cut the cord with TLI! Messages not returned EVER, authorizations for procedures not processed (the performing facility had to contact TLI for them to do their job). I ultimately felt like I was being directed to a study to fill a quota. Once I declined it seems as it was downhill from there."
"This is a unique review, because this 5-star rating is not an impression, rather a well-earned score that has improved significantly over 4+ years of service. Texas Liver Institute has performed an operation that is extremely difficult to successfully pull-off: they have turned the tide in their own company's culture. Without focusing on negatives of yesteryear, it should be noted that the staff knows exactly who to transfer your call to (or leave a message with, for prompt reply), appointment times are observed in an efficient manner, the staff is purposeful and unhurried (i.e., know what they are doing), and most importantly, the doctors and support staff are at the top of their field. A good review or impression is one thing, but making a dysfunctional situation into a well-oiled machine deserves a special kind of praise. Specifically, Mary at the front desk (you're doing wonderful!), the Director of Customer Service (amazing work!), and my medical MVPs: Dr. Carmen Landaverde – and her esteemed assistant Meredith Cook – are world-class. Thank Y'all."
"I had a horrific experience with this office and would not recommend this location for any level of care. They have terrible operational issues, nobody follows-up and/or returns calls. They quote their "policies" which are not patient focused. In my opinion, "Vivian" the front desk clerk should not be working there. She has a severe negative attitude, should not be public facing and hope TLI decides to part ways with her. She aggressively sought me out in the office and confronted me after I advised my technician she was rude. It was not to apologize for her rudeness, rather she was trying to pick a fight in an aggressive manner. I have NEVER been treated in such a way as a patient. Absolutely DISGUSTING behavior. I was treated equally as bad by one of their PA's who assumed his office staff was right - he yelled at me across the room. I took the high road and left in the middle of my appointment because I could not tolerate the treatment by these two in the office, AND this was all done out in the open. At no point when their is an aggressor is that person in the right. I was literally sitting waiting for bloodwork when "Vivian" aggressively approached me and it took me at least 2-3 times to tell her I did not want to speak with her for her to leave me alone. I did not seek her out. PERIOD! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR! The owners of this office should be ASHAMED to have such employees who treat patients in this manner."
