"I’m not the type to leave reviews but what I experienced today I feel like this needs to be shared… I went to the registration department and informed the lady (Pamela Fyre) that i had submitted a schedule change and was directed by my advisor to see if the form had made any progress… She tells me what she sees on the form and I verify that the class i no longer want and the class that I wanted to add to disregard as my advisor helped me select the correct classes. I was getting ready to explain a tad bit more for clarification and she then tells me to have a seat and that she needs to ask her supervisor something. I told her yes ma’am and went to sit down. 10 minutes comes by and she calls me back up. She tells me to verify my schedule and asks me about one particular class. I told her that my advisor said not to take that class and she looks at me starts laughing and whoever was in the back starts laughing too (I believe it was her supervisor). Pamela gives me the schedule change request form goes to tell me “you didn’t tell me that”. I responded “Yes I did, you didn't give me more time to explain before you told me you needed to talk to your supervisor” she then looks at me puzzled and I told her “No worries, It can be fixed” and she goes “uhhh, okay” I went to sit back down and fill it out. Luckily I got a different lady when I went back up there. My whole concern is that this could’ve been a simple a miscommunication on my end or misunderstanding on hers. And that’s okay. It happens to us all the time. Which is why I told her it can be fixed. There was no need to laugh in my face which was disrespectful and have an attitude. I also keep in mind that I don’t know what Individuals could be going through which is why I was not quick to anger. However, that’s not an excuse to act that way at work. Especially when i’m respectful. Not to mention, it’s hard to even get a hold of anyone in general via phone too."
"VA department is horrible. Even though you have guaranteed money to the VA with your post 911 Bill they will find a way to mess it up. Registered for classes they didn't hold my classes waiting for the VA confirmation I wasn't able to take the classes I wanted to put on a wait list or absolutely horrible and I'm a returning student from the previous semester. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME GO TO TEMPLE!"
"Participated in the KISD 5K Back to school dash. CTC is good about allowing groups to use their roadways for charity and community walks and runs."
"I am disgusted with the way I was treated today as a alumni of this university. I had to make numerous attempts to log on CTC websites and the rude staff at the Registration office minus the older lady, was absolutely disgraceful. I am an Army Retiree and treated them with respect. Got the help I needed after 3 attempts and she hung up in my face. Hope CTC figures this out!!! My Professor has been the best, but need to get some refresher customer service training"
"If you're in the military, Central Texas College is the easiest and cheapest way to earn an associate degree. Most classes don't even require you to purchase textbooks, you just show up to class and do the assignments to the best of your ability. It's a foolproof way to earn a diploma!"
