"Service in south padre is really bad. They don’t deliver to many apartment complexes. Check carefully before you send anything. USPS won’t hold it for you, even few hours. They will just returned to sender within an hour of receiving the package into their facility. First time I experience something like this"

"Architectural Difficulty. This is a very large post office mounted on piers. Therefore, all boxes and services are on the second floor with no apparent elevator. There is a one story ramp on the south side. Other than that, it is not very accessible. If you need a box that is safer and more accessible I use SOS services, which is very personal and accessible. on about the 2100 block."

"This place constantly closes with no warning or notice. They rarely leave a sign saying why they are closed and when they do leaving notice such as for lunch, they seem to feel 2 hr lunches are normal. Staff is rarely friendly. I had a package that basically stayed at this post office for literally 7 days before being delivered and it wasn’t even delivered until I put in a lost package claim. The tracking showed it lay stagnant there for 7 days. I am done with this incompetent agency and now use Fedex or UPS."

"I've tried twice now to send my brother a gift from Amazon and evethough he has an apartment there because he has no p.o. box they won't deliver...no notification that he has a package at the post office waiting or anything, and even if I track it and let him know it's there..they return it to sender before you have a chance to pick the item up. And they never seem to answer phones either...very unprofessional place."

"While visiting SPI 3 months ago I had something shipped here not knowing it was being sent USPS. It was delivered to my address, no problem. Happened again, large and heavy parcel, understandably it was held at post office and I picked it up within a few hours. We are back visiting again for 6 weeks - yesterday, a small package arrived which was not dropped off at my address, and was held at this post office for approximately 1 hour before they returned to sender. I tried calling them repeatedly and they do not answer the phone. I went there within 3 hours of tracking info that indicated it was being returned, and it was no longer there. I was told they no longer hold parcels, and they are understaffed and cannot answer the phone. Their website indicates they accept General Delivery. So - FYI and GOOD LUCK."
