"25 years banking and investing with First Command and I am done. Transferred $1000.00 from my Checking to pay my VISA card balance. The money showed as "pending" for several days, and now it has been withdrawn from my Checking and never credited to VISA and has disappeared. I was asked by the incompetent representative to " be patient, there were two major holidays, it takes ten days". Really?! major holidays effect EFTs?!, never had a transfer take more than 24 hours to credit. Have sent multiple messages to the Bank and gotten not one response, though they claim to monitor 24/7. How do you lose a $1000.00 EFT, and if I can't trust you with that, why should I trust you 70 times that? I am furious at the shoddy way FC has treated me. Filing a complaint with OCC, that should only take forever to come to something. This is literally criminal activity on First Commands part."
"Case in point. I leave a scathing review on my local FC advisor. The very next day, corporate replies with contact our Quality Management office. First. I STILL have not heard anything about my new advisor request. Second; the number HQ provided is a generic number and I can’t get any member of FC to provide me an extension to the QM section. Third; I had to contact the insurance companies directly to help me fill out the forms properly so that I can get ahold of MY funds. All my FC advisor would have to do is call up my account, print out the documents I needed and send them to me for signature. FC is not responding to me at all. This is the type of service you can expect to receive when you need to access your funds. If you ever been a beneficiary/executor of someone’s estate, then you know you can’t really do much with that person’s funds until it goes through the court…and their bills still have to be paid. I am telling you folks, run away from this bank."
"Every time I have dealt with First Command Bank they have been courteous and professional. If you like a small personal bank and not treated like a number - this is your bank!"
"Don't bank here if you live off of tips and regularly deposit your cash tips that are backed up with your pay stubs. They closed my account of a few years because I live off of tips and deposit them regularly. First they will say it's suspicious activity, and then when you prove your income they will lie to you and tell you it's "Because you don't have a financial advisor on your account". I have been a customer for years, but they don't care. Go to any other bank."
"Satisfied customer for more than 20 years. Superb customer service, excellent phone security when verifying ID, unmatched timeliness when processing withdrawals and loans."
