"I worked at Inner Wellness Counseling Center from 2015 to 2016 as an LPC Intern. My experience there as an intern was positive and always carried out in a professional manner. The owner, Dr. Silva, has a genuine care for the center and meeting all of her client's needs. She is professional, compassionate, and a very skilled and competent therapist. All the staff that worked there (owner, therapists, and intake coordinator) were kind and professional. I was able to obtain a vast array of experience there as an intern due to her guidance in every aspect of working toward becoming a fully licensed therapist. "I took my teenage daughter to them after a sexual predator was talking to her via text. The Counselor was amazing, her name was Vivian, she is no longer there. Not sure of the reason, but before she left that practice, the powers that be, decided to discontinue their services to my daughter due to The Attorney General/Crime Victim Compensation not getting their money to them quick enough. My daughter WAS doing so good while under Vivian's care. When they no longer would allow her to see my daughter, things only went down hill. She started talking to another 30 year old man. This time it wasn't just on the phone, they actually met in person and thank the Lord above, nothing bad happened out of it. It has ruined my relationship with my daughter. She was FINALLY getting the help she has needed all these years and they tossed her to the side due to non-payment from the state. That was five months ago. I got a call yesterday that upset me to the core. Inner Wellness called to tell me that they had received payment from the state and could now see her. It's too late! In fact, things got so bad at home that I have now moved her all the way to Orlando with mom so our relationship wouldn't get damaged anymore. If they would've been seeing her this whole time, instead of refusing to see her because the state hadn't paid them, she probably wouldn't have talked to this last guy. Vivian had her and I on a good level, the best we have EVER been,that all went away too. I feel like if she would've continued counseling I would still have that relationship with my daughter and she would still be here. I just want everyone to know that they apparently are more concerned with money than the well being of their patients. Hopefully one day my daughter will get the help she needs."
