Reviews of BlueSprig
"This morning while grabbing coffee next door my wife and I witnessed a child come running out of the facilty into the parking lot, and almost made it to Fry Rd. The employee caught up to him and caught the child in front of where the bank on the corner used to be. Another 5 seconds and the child would have been to Fry Rd. The owners of this facility either need to improve the lock system on the doors or add a second door system, or something that prevents this from happening. There should never be a reason for this incident being a possibility."
"Great people and staff; new owners know what they are doing and the staff/director are awesome!"
"TDLC My son went to this organization for about 1+ years. They first started him with 2 hours, one of speech and one of occupational while we were still waiting for an opening for ABA for about 6 months. In the beginning, he seemed quite happy to go there every morning. He loved to work with Jessica and Jennifer , both speech therapists, who later left TDLC to join differents centers. His therapy sessions used to be fun and we saw some improvements on speech, fine motor skills, eye contact. He would come home and grab his drawing pad and would try to write his name or think of funny things that happened during his sessions and laugh hard. We would sit upstairs in a space that we turned into a therapy room for him and read, talk, work. The child was motivated to do stuff. He would initiate a game or activity and sometimes ask me questions and then would congratulate me after I had answered. Our son is usually a happy/silly child. He is physically active, high functioning autistic. No one can tell he is on the spectrum unless they try to engage in a conversation. One of their therapists who left told me once, we're confused here, we don't think he has autism. He is aware of everything around him. We became worried after they started him with ABA. Which we regret till today. They recommended ABA to us and we don't think that's what he needed. It has impacted his behaviour negatively. Something happened ALMOST every day over there. He came home super exhausted. The child would often come home with nail scratches on neck and also behind his shoulders, bruises, pinch marks and so on. One day, he came to us with a huge nail scratch on one of his chicks and when we asked, they said they didn't know how it happened. They claim to oversee all but can't explain bruises. Another day my husband and I went to pick him up and when he saw us he burst into tears. So when we asked what was going on, the therapist that brought him to us replied that it was "a though day today." We wanted to know with which therapist he was having a tough time, but she replied:" I can't tell you." At the end of each day, they would bring him to us almost every day drained out of energy and unhappy. I would drop him off in the morning and my husband would pick him up most of the time and on Fridays the entire family would go there to give him a heros welcoming. One afternoon my husband went to pick him up and arrived to witness a bad situation. He could see that they had a physical altercation because the child was trying to seek revenge. He burst out crying when he saw him. We decided to finally take him after it became clear that they were getting physical with him. On another day, we went in for a meeting and on the way out, we saw our son grabbing one of the therapist by the hair and kicking her. He wouldn't let go. They never gave us a valid explanation for why he acted like that. Our son was seeking revenge because his hair was pulled by the therapist .The therapist in question was known for being "firm". There were 2 therapists that our son absolutely didn't like. And we knew them. Our son's behavior has drastically changed for the worse. Lastly, they are very disorganized and LAZY at tdlc. If you decide to put your child there, check ex-therapists and parents reviews. Even their own therapists complain. Also, many therapists and 2 programmers left when we were there. Stay away!"
"The best of the best. Great staff, always helpful and friendly. My son has learned at this location in four months what he had not in years. Thanks for everything you do!"
