"Could not recommend this counseling office more! Randy is a no BS, ready and willing to help, goal oriented counselor. The office cancellation policy is common respect. His schedule stays booked because he’s that good, and last minute cancellations are disrespectful to others who could’ve had the opportunity to get in to see him. You won’t be disappointed when you get in to see them ☺️"

"Only care about fees, even when they call you for a last minute cancelation on their end, and you try to make it on a short notice, and you can't. I tried to re-schedule or take original appointment, all they say was "well we wont be able to fill the spot so if you do not come this week we are charging you ". No care for patients efforts, and no consideration and no professionalism. That was an appointment offered the evening before. Ridiculous. Even when this was the first time! No going there ever again."

"I'm so disappointed in this office. I had used them in the past without cancelling my appointments, but when I had to due to illness, they charged me $75! I realize they don't want last minute cancellations, but when you have a reliable client, there should be exceptions for illness. I won't be returning due to this experience and urge caution for those considering this office."

"Life had me pretty beat down from PTSD related to military sexual trauma. Legislation and other reforms in the Veterans Administration have made some improvements in counseling this sensitive issue, however due to heavy caseload the VA counselors are sometimes unable to address other aspects of this disorder. I sought out Mr. Adkins , because my symptoms of PTSD had become overwhelming. I was scared at first, but the friendly staff and his understanding demeanor won me over. My skepticism turned into motivation and empowerment to take small steps to change my thinking processes. Highly professional, positive, engaging client centered counseling."

"Undeniably the best therapist and office staff in the San Antonio/Boerne/Hill Country area! Our son has Asperger's and has seen several different therapists over the years. We are so thankful that our doctor recommended Randy Adkins. Randy won him over with his friendly personality and kindness. Our son even asks to see Randy when he's experiencing an issue he needs help with. Randy was very patient and taught our son coping skills, how to interact socially and how to manage his obsessions. He also gave us some very helpful insight so that we better understand our son's issues. We will be continuing counseling with Randy to maintain the confidence he has given our son."
