"Overall, Trans USA Moving did a good job with my move from Texas to the New England Area and I feel I was quoted a fair price for the service provided. I had contact early on with Jessica regarding quotes and inventory, and she kept up contact until I had moving dates set. It was admittedly more frequent check-ins than I would have liked, but I appreciated that they kept me in mind. Once I got the dates set they were quick to set up paperwork and scheduling, and all the documents were very straightforward. Jessica was careful to go over the inventory and estimate, as well as any situations that would lead to an increase in cost on-site (undisclosed stairs, no area for truck to park, etc). Leandro and Sergio were kind and careful as the loaded my boxes and furniture onto the truck on the day of pick-up, and were thorough going over all paperwork before starting. From then my point-of-contact was John in Dispatch, who answered all messages regarding ETA and check-ins promptly. The delivery also went smoothly, arriving on time with a thorough checklist of all my belongings, and took care of the surrounding areas as they brought my stuff into the new apartment. I did have a couple of small issues which is why the rating is 4 instead of 5 stars. My stuff ended up being stored in a warehouse for about two weeks before getting on a delivery truck, which was a longer time-frame than I was told over the phone (I was told 6-12 day delivery, ultimately I got my stuff exactly 3-weeks from the pick-up day). Additionally, a few of my boxes and my bar cabinet were damaged. Thankfully I packed everything with a lot of bubble wrap and packing paper so no dishes were broken. I should be able to figure out a way to repair the bar cabinet as well, but it is inconvenient enough to affect my review. Overall, the move took a little longer than I hoped and there were some minor issues probably due to things exchanging hands multiple times, but at the end of the day I got all of my stuff in mostly one piece and did not feel overcharged for my service (final total of $2300 for studio size move, including stair and elevator charges and a shuttle charge on delivery since the 18-wheeler wasn’t able to park near my building). Any long-distance move is going to have issues, the best you can do is pick a company you are comfortable with (which I was with Trans USA) and pack VERY well. Hope this helps."
"AVOID! I moved from Houston, TX to Massachusetts. A TransUSA rep responded quickly with an estimate from a video phone call. I had already packed the majority of my items. I was assured they would handle the remaining items consisting mainly of 2 beds and several heavy items. I was also told they would assemble the beds upon arrival. They were late to arrive my new house. I called many times and spoke with "dispatch" who was of no help telling they’re on the way but no ETA.. The truck finally arrived in the late afternoon with my goods. The driver was planning on unloading the truck into my home in MA. One person to unload an entire household! He enlisted the help of his wife who was very petite and couldn’t lift or carry anything large or heavy. I was so frustrated I helped move items to get this done before dark. The driver called for help and two pleasant local guys arrived. I was very clear at the start that the new place had a 2nd floor and stairs. The movers refused to go up stairs unless I paid more. So I had to pay each person, 3 total, $450.00 more or have all my (small) downstairs filled floor to ceiling with my furniture. Many of the boxes were smashed open and many items were broken. There were boxes that had been damaged during transport and taped back together. The most heartbreaking was all the missing items. I kept contact with the Houston office about my missing items, some of which had been in my family for generations. They couldn't explain how they had vanished into thin air. Where do missing boxes go? Another household? Back to the movers storage? The whole experience was horrible and heartbreaking. Best advice is to AVOID & save yourself money and heartache."
"DO NOT USE TRANS MOVERS. I paid Trans movers just under $6,000 to move my entire apartment from Texas to upstate New York. Within this, I paid extra (for both the manual labor and materials) for them to pack a number of items including artwork, lamps, furniture, bar cart, tvs, and my peloton. The movers themselves also encouraged me to go for the most basic insurance and assured me that was the best option. My movers arrived late in NY, did not communicate, dropped and threw boxes throughout my apartment, and did not unpack the items they had been paid extra to take care of. I watched the drop and break other items in the truck that were for other drop-offs. They consistently tried to leave before the job was done and never properly finished the job. Ultimately through out my move they damaged over $4000 in items all of which were items I paid EXTRA for them to pack. They left broken glass throughout my apartment and laid broken glass items just out in the open for my dog and cat to step on. I was assured by the owner of Trans Movers that he would take care of this and "make it right" (his words, not mine). Ultimately I was offered only $500 in total coverage between the insurance company and movers to cover more than $4,000 in damages. I cannot stress this enough- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are not trust worthy, they will not take care of your personal belongings, and they will show no remorse for the damage they have caused."
"I can't say enough good things about Trans USA!! From the initial phone call to the day my things were delivered, it was a great company to work with. My stuff was delivered all the way from Texas in 9 days! I would recommend using them to ANYONE moving long distance."
"This company did nothing but try to scam us. They claimed they were the actual brewing company but in reality they are just brokers. They quoted us $2000 and in reality it ended up costing us $4000. The mover showed up in an old rider truck with graffiti all over it. We were getting on the road the next day, and we had no choice. We had to pay it to get our stuff moved across the country. I don’t even know if my stuff is going to show up we’re just hoping and praying it shows up. We are worried they’re gonna try to scam us on the other end to get more money. Now they’re not returning any of my calls. I’ve called three times today and no callbacks. When the driver showed up, we tried to get a hold of the moving company and they would not answer our calls then either."
