"They take excellent care of their animals and the place is super clean. The best part is that you won’t find a single “fish bowl” because they believe in proper husbandry. 10/10 best aquatic/ reptile store around. You can also buy live feeders which is great!"
"I’m new to the saltwater hobby, and tried to buy a tank from Petsmart. They refused to deliver the tank after purchase, as I lived 3 miles outside their arbitrary delivery range. I went to Aquatic Dreams looking for advice on where to get a large tank for a good price. They were able to get me hooked up with a sump, tank and stand for almost 2,000$ less than any online retailer, and they’re able to deliver. Assuming delivery is flawless next week, I couldn’t be happier. Please, go support this wonderful couple and rewarding hobby."
"EDIT (months after my initial experience) I went in today & can confidently say I won't be back! I was in the store for a good 20 minutes & NOBODY spoke to me besides the employee saying "Have a nice day" as I exited the store. There was a man working, but every time I attempted to speak to him, it's like he was hiding from me! I have very conflicting feelings about this place. While I do think it's a good aquarium shop & has quality products, I did get different info from the employees. I came in to purchase some vampire shrimp & when the employee was showing them to me, he said, "Don't put smaller shrimp in with these guys.. we did & they devoured them in seconds!" As a new aquarium hobbyist, this REALLY confused me. I had done my research & learned that these shrimp are filter feeders (small plant matter, powdered foods, microorganisms floating in the tank, etc). You can see how they eat in the attached video. So how could they eat other shrimp? After doing more research, I came to a conclusion. Either 1) he didn't want to try & fish out smaller shrimp for me that day. 2) he had no clue what he was talking about & was just trying to seem as if he did. 3) they starved the poor shrimp beyond imagination & upon releasing the smaller shrimp, they found themselves in a tough situation. I was just disappointed because I planned on purchasing a whole other tank filled with shrimp from them the very same day. I drove from 2 hours away to shop here, so it's not like I can go back tomorrow to get them. :( The good news is that the shrimp are now in a great ecosystem that I have set up & they are eating a wonderfully diverse diet specifically for them! A few of them have even molted & they are living peacefully with other smaller shrimp."
"I’m fairly new to the hobby so I have been to several fish stores in the area to find my go-to “LFS”. This one is by far the best. It’s clean, the tanks are all gorgeous and well-maintained, they have an amazing selection, prices are reasonable, they quarantine new stock, and they have actual tanks for their betta fish. I was in heaven! The store is adequately named, haha. They have some beautiful plants as well, and a huge planted tank to put injured fish to live out their lives that cannot otherwise be sold. It’s obvious the truly care about the well-being of their animals and have a passion for the hobby. And bonus, they have a really unique selection of reptiles and amphibians too! So those were fun to look at. Heather was super awesome and spent a ton of time helping me out, and I got to take home the fish I had my heart set on. I’ll definitely be back!"
"This is the nicest fish store I have come across. There fish are happy and healthy and swim up to you as you walk by. The staff are all very nice and so helpful with all your questions you may have. The planet rack is beautiful and there reptiles are well taken care of."
