"Unfortunately, this Fairfield is dated and the room had a very unpleasant smell. Tried to switch rooms and the other room had the same odor. The breakfast missed the mark as the food was overcooked. I’m hopeful this was a one off."

"This property is an older Fairfield but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The lobby appears to have been remodeled recently. Everything (ice, pool, shower, room doors, elevators, etc., are working as they should). The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The parking lot is well lit, the side doors work as they should, and the exterior of the property is clean. You really can’t ask for more than all of that. There are plenty of food choices near the Hotel, several nice fuel stops just across the road, and easy access back onto I-57. I recommend."

"Very clean and nice atmosphere.. Close to food and the freeway. Friendly people. Had an issue with a noisy neighbor that they resolved promptly."

"Front lobby is incredibly more nice than any of the rooms that are at this hotel. Front desk employee was also incredibly nosy, did not respect my privacy upon check in. The hotel room reminded me of a motel 8 room…gross. The hotel is located pretty much at the center of everything food wise. Thankful it was just a one night stay. I won’t be back! I’ll book a nicer hotel next time where I feel safe."

"If you have to be in Marion, IL, this is a decent location. Plenty of good food options close by with convenient access to the highway. The rooms need an update, but it was clean and the service was excellent."
