"I arrived and was asked all the questions. I was not offered any ice for my lip or nose which were both injured. I don’t recollect that anyone looked in my mouth to see that I sliced my tongue with my teeth. My discharge papers say I had chest pain. I had no such thing, I just passed out in a field. The nurse I had was none too kind. Just very short and not very forthcoming with any information. I got no ideas as how to help with pain or anything m, just to contact my Doctor and make an appointment with a Neurologist."
"While I had a couple of wonderful nurses… 95% of my visit was spent in the waiting room. I understand prioritizing cases and there are reasons for that but, the waiting room was crowded with sick people not just 1 or 2. Some barely holding up sitting in a chair. Those who were lucky and had someone with them to lean on could get a little rest. No place to put your head down or your feet up. No pillow, blanket or water was offered while waiting for hours to get my moment with the Dr. I went out to my car for water and a bag of chips to calm my stomach. Once you were taken to a room they were able to offer some of those things. Unfortunately, I was only in an examination room for 15 min after 5 hours in the waiting room. My tests were all conducted from the waiting or triage room and fortunately my results were good. So I was sent home quickly. The experience was very uncomfortable and felt like a “drive up” treatment. Actually it would have been more comfortable as a drive up so I could have laid down in my car."
"This was worse experience I have ever had in my entire life. The picture is the room I was in for over 3 hours. I was there from 12 pm to 7 pm. They messed up my blood work. No bed, no blanket, the blanket on the floor was one my sister brought me. No Advil after I requested it for 45 minutes. I asked to leave 3 times and they wouldn’t let me because I had an IV in for the blood work they messed up so they had to do it again."
"I left before being treated. The workers were rude, there were people there that hadn't been treated for 6 hours, but beyond that it was disgusting. There were dirty towels and dried up puke everywhere. All this while 3 workers were crowded together watching something just laughing and having a great time. So unprofessional and SO unsanitary!! We left and drove to Progress where it was quickly determined I needed to go into surgery. So grateful we left and we will never go back to that ER."
"I don't usually give 5 stars unless they go above what I expected, but they earned every one My wife had a major gallbladder attack and was in severe pain... at 430am they took her to start vitals and initial check in process right away and she was in an ED bed in less than 10 mins Nurses and staff were friendly and sympathetic to her and took great care of her. She did need to have the gallbladder removed . They admitted her for that. The hospital staff was just as helpful and wonderful as the ED staff. 5 stars for the Doctors, nurses and staff at St Joseph Hospital!"
