"The chlorine in the pool was offensively strong and left my daughter with burning and extremely swollen eyes. When my husband and I went to address the concern the manager on duty I believe her name is Carmen did not seem concern at all but only annoyed that we were bothering her. Then she began to be aggressively rude, disrespectful and unprofessional with her tone and comments. Even after the situation had ended and seemingly de-escalated the manager than again followed behind my husband into the restaurant trying to argue more about the situation and not feeling safe saying that she had decided not to have him removed because of the interaction. Even though she was the aggressor in the entire situation. Then after we checked we notice an additional charge on our card for $150 for a room cleaning fee. When we called to inquire about the manager Felicia begins addressing how her employee was upset about the interaction and completely ignoring the initial reasoning of the call. I personally clean every hotel room we ever stay in I place all the towels in a pile in the bathroom, place all the trash in the garbage even the overflow I stacked neatly next to the garbage. I pride myself on being respectful of properties and the staff the clean the rooms after we checked out. But after redirecting the conversation about the matter at hand she then acknowledged it was spilled A1 steak sauce but they assumed it was poop because of the disagreement with the manager. We both we completely offended at the suggestion of being that disgusting. Then when we finally asked for our charged to refunded she let us know she will not being refunding our money because her manager was in tears and that was unacceptable. Then we had to remind her we were without heat in our room for 2 days and not once complained or became problematic Felicia quickly again changed the subject saying she would contact HR about the matter. The facility is beautiful but the staff working is rude, lack customer service skills, problem solving, and communication."
"My entire cheerleading team spent two days at this hotel. Most had a very good experience, but for the few, including myself who did not have a good experience, I can explain why we were charged after Leaving at $150 cleaning fee because because a small cup of A1 sauce was spilled. We did not have heat for the two days that we were in the room. The temperatures outside were -10°. Once this was addressed, it was swept under the rug and I was told that I would not get a refund for the $150 cleaning fee, I was also told that they assumed that it was feces left on the floor which was overly offensive. Once I explain to the general manager, Felicia that it was one cup of A1 sauce from their restaurant that had been spilled. She went out of her way to let me know that we were still not refunded a cleanup fee. I’m still waiting for that have not been sent yet my program, and my team brought thousands of dollars into that establishment this past weekend. Our athletes were on their best behavior, and we had a great timebesides freezing to death and all of my athletes eyes being bloodshot, red and continuously watery needing cold compresses at night because of the chlorine in the pool. Anyways, I hope this helps we will never be staying at this hotel again or any other Holiday Inn."
"What should be a nice standard hotel, perhaps even a nice hotel, is let down by inattention to details. This is a nice hotel with a pool and hot tub. A conference / party space with room for food, meetings and celebrating is available on the mezzanine and it’s nice space. There’s an upscale restaurant with great food and a very good selection of whiskey, bourbon, vodka, tequila, and craft beers. Good service in the restaurant and bar. The lobby is inviting and warm, and a nice place to hang out. Here’s where you see a bit of neglect. If you’re sitting you can see the dust bunnies and debris in the corners and under furniture. No one has cleaned in the corners in years. It was the same in my room. It was surface clean but corners were quite dusty and debris filled. My room was a big one bedroom and there were some stupid mistakes in the room. No coat hooks in the entry. The bath was HUGE - lovely! But towel hooks and towel bars are fifteen feet away on the opposite wall. Why? My room was set up with a bar, and living room group. Furniture was missing making the large living room look empty and non functional as a living room. A chair was missing and a table between the chairs and sofa was missing. Called to ask for a replacement, but all they could find was a much taller table, and yet small in length and width, and it stuck up between the furniture like a small but tall mountain. I’d like to stay here again because the amenities were so nice, but not until the details get paid attention to."
"I had an outstanding experience across the board here. Every single team member I encountered was professional, friendly and went above and beyond from the front desk, restaurant and late night cleaning crew. I look forward to returning again."
