"Amazing place to stay. Mom and I travel a lot for conferences and never know where we’re going to stay before we get there. Pleasantly surprised when we found this gorgeous hotel just off the highway on our way south. We didn’t get to use all the amenities but the pool looked amazing and the staff were very friendly. The room was very roomy for a double queen room. And the set up was really well laid out. Breakfast had many options for all kinds of food. From cereal and toast to refs and bacon they had lots of options. And my favourite they had the make it your self waffle maker but this time the had one with 4 mini waffles as well as the regular one, with options of strawberry flavoured waffles or original. If we come through Hannibal again we will definitely see about staying here again."
"We checked in Nov 24 and checked out Nov 25. My spouse, our child and I stayed one night. Our first room had sheets (both beds) with random, numerous dark stains on them. There was also what appeared to be a pubic hair on our phone in the first room as well. We called the front desk and got moved to a second room nearby. This room also had several dark colored stains on both beds and the lights in the middle of the room did not work. Yet again we called the front desk and were moved to a third room. This room appeared acceptable. We unpacked and slept through the night. We woke and went to the continental breakfast. I had a biscuit and gravy which wasn't bad. I tried to get milk from the dispenser and it had a horrible odor to it. I also tried to get orange/apple juice but something was wrong and it was only giving water with very little flavor. Turns out the bag wasn't attached right when the new person hooked it up. Never found out why the milk smelled the way it did. The waffle maker worked quite well and was good. My spouse saw them pour water only into the gravy mix. The workers there were busy running around the whole time we were eating and did what they could to accommodate all the guests. No complaints with them. We then went back to our room, packed and went to check out. The associate asked how our stay was, we listed off all of the above and their only reply was "oh" and that was it. I would not stay here again and would recommend other travelers search for another place to stay."
"Staff was incredibly friendly, good prices at the on-site bar. Breakfast was typical for this level of hotel. Some details were not given the best attention. The bed and the nightstands were way out of place, dust ruffle on the bed was off center. Quality needs to put more money into routine maintenance. The lampshades were all so old that they were cracked, the tub had deep rust around the overflow drain, rust at the bottom of the door frame, the shower rod had been pulled down at one point and the repair wasn't great. But! We've paid for more expensive rooms that had a noisy air conditioner and without working light bulbs! The lights all worked and the air conditioner didn't keep us awake. Having said that, everything was clean and the room was quiet even though it was on the first floor end next to the main entrance."
"DO NOT STAY HERE. I ask only 2 things from a hotel. 1.) a working AC/heater and 2.) a good bed. This place had neither of these very basic needs. First room, turned on AC. Gave one start. 1 hour later still hadn't done anything more. Room was well over 74 and not going to be comfortable for sleeping. Went down to let front desk know and they changed rooms expressing wonder that the room AC was not working. Hm. So went to the next room and the same problem. Worked 3 times before it stopped coming on. Room was at least mid-70's, if not higher. To get my 4 hours of interrupted sleep I had to go and splash cold water on my arms and face not once but about 3x. Bed was lumpy. The pillows the square type. The front lobby needed new paint and plaster. It was quiet because everyone else knows not to book here. Ugh. Now they are refusing to cancel my return trip stay. When you can't provide the most basic things, why are you in the hotel business? While this is a franchise, I've put it down never to book this chain again. NEVER. BTW these other reviews really ring false. There is no remodeling. Everything is very 80's and crumbling away. Plaster cracks, colors are brown and dull yellow gold, towels are thin, beds are lumpy, and AC's are old-fashioned ones."
"The Good the Bad and Issues (we stayed 4 nights) *Good - this hotel has one of the best included breakfasts of any hotel I've been in, and I travel a lot. - the housekeeping crew was amazing, outstanding, 5 stars and high fives all around. Jodi is the manager and she's absolutely fantastic. - the pool and hot tub were clean and a welcome amenity. - the bar doesn't have the best hours but it's nice and friendly - the entire hotel is very clean. *Bad - the front desk staff does not speak English as a first language. They are extremely difficult to understand, and we frequently had to use my phone translator to answer questions like "can we get pool towels" "can we get an extra blanket/pillow" "where is the crib we reserved" etc. - the remote control for the TVs did not work (2 rooms). The Chanel guide is incorrect. - there is no business center or office space. They supposedly have a meeting room but it has to be reserved the day prior. There is no place to work other than your room *Issues - on our second night we had a plumbing issue with the fire sprinkler at midnight. They moved us (5/3/1 yr old) to a different room. It took a few days and several calls but they did comp that night. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes! and the restaurant across the street Fiddlesticks is great too."
