"Above satisfied with the level of care and attention to detail. As a new mom, the teachers not only care about their kiddos - but care about the parents. Clean & clear communication, quick responses, photos, great art projects and helping our little man meet all of his milestones. We are so happy we were able to get into this daycare!! I feel at ease everyday knowing our son is being well taken care of. He lights up with smiles every morning at drop off."
"I really can't say enough about this place. My daughter has been coming here for over 2 years and I can't express my gratitude for the teachers and directors in this place. Hats off to all of them, forgive me if I forget any names, Ashley, Lisa, Mary Beth, Carlene and everyone who has made my daughter feel like at home when she is there. I have to say that leaving Serendipity is bittersweet, my daughter made some very good friends with some of the kids.. She learned so much, such an amazing program and teachers do love those kids.. They are so passionate about what they do... If I could keep my daughter forever there I could.. It's worth every dime. Thank you for everything you all did with my daughter.. I am extremely grateful for all of you there."
"Our daughter started at Serendipity when she was 3 months. The teachers were more than happy to provide updates and didn't mind constant calling to check in. Almost 4 years later, I'm amazed at all the new things she learns there daily. We'll soon add another one to their care without any worries. Great place!"
"If you’re reading this review then, much like myself, you too are committed to hiring the best team of teachers to care for your children. As a professional educator, I’m choosy about where I enroll my children as my parenting goal is to provide them with the tools for future success; this is why I have chosen Serendipity Childcare Center. This woman owned business is by far the best in the area, consistently providing open communication, educational curriculum, and health conscious meals/snacks in a nurturing caring environment. I’ve entrusted Sarah and Teresa with both of my children three days a week for the past two years, and never once have either of my children complained to me regarding their teachers’, their care, or hurt feelings, and yes, I question them after each visit. Now for me this is huge, as personally, it’s about the children and their comfort at the center, the relationships they cultivate with the staff, and both the age appropriate social/emotional and educational skills they develop. Recently, my preschooler had his Kindergarten evaluation at Freemont Township Elementary and I can thank Ms. Lisa for his above average assessment report. Although we do study at home, she’s developed sensory play activities such as hatching baby chicks, alpha/numeric activities such as the Letter/Number of the Week, and reading development based on the award-winning Scholastic Building Literacy program. Although DCFS accredited, those of you looking for a corporate run, sterile, every center looks the same program will not be partial to this center so pass it by on your quest as Serendipity is none of those things, nor will they ever be, it’s not their mission -which is the exact reason I’m here. I view Serendipity as an extension of our home and when you pull up to the center you’ll see exactly what I mean. Finally, I’d like to add a note about their flexibility. Unlike many daycare providers, Serendipity has worked with my schedule to best accommodate the needs of our family. For me, this is matchless as so many centers require a 365-day contract which did not meet our family’s needs. I rate Serendipity as 5 out of 5 Stars as I would recommend, and have, to anyone searching for attentive childcare in the Fox Lake, Volo, Mundelein, Ingleside, Spring Grove area. Thank you, ladies, for providing such a loving home-away-from-home for my two children. I know they’ll look back on their Serendipity graduation pictures (yes, they have a ceremony) with fond loving memories."
"**Disappointed!!!!!!**** Called and scheduled a visit yesterday to see this school today and the moment I came in with my daughter tonight, the director Sara said Hi and with in seconds pushed me off to the teacher for the room my daughter would be in only because that teacher happened to come from her room when we arrived. The director only came back to the room with us to hand me paperwork and left right away because she chose to go with another "couple" who came in off schedule. I was shown the small room by that teacher who didn't seem too warm or inviting to me. I get it was the end of the day but she came off to me a bit strict on how she dealt with certain actions of the kids. Teaching Indepence is great but showing you care as a teacher and that they should feel comfortable talking to you about how their feeling or what is troubling them and coaching them to explain to YOU rather then telling them to "go ask a friend" is how she apparently runs her room. From what I could see on the side of the room was a make shift bathroom with a shower cutain for privacy. Really!? I think 4 and 5 yr olds deserve an actual bathroom. She showed me nothing else about the center as we walked ourselves out. When we came out of the room, the director was showing the other couple the outside play area which I was never even offered to see. I don't even recall if they said good bye or thank you for coming in. The place was cold and un welcoming to me Especially for $200 a week. No kiddos artwork smeared on their walls, hanging from ceilings or anything. Nothing special to me about the place. Nothing "Home Like" at all from what I saw and what their website claims. It looked clean but that was about the only plus for this visit. Don't recommend at all!"
