"Was there for a graduation party. The hall used was wonderful and very spacious. They provided the tables, chairs, and table cloths. They had the food catered by Hy-Vee. You bring everything else. That where you have money. You and guests get to walk the trails for the rest of the if you feel up to it. Our hall had wolves that are housed next to us where we could also view them through the window. There were what looked like local birds displayed behind glass. There were back stairs that lead up to the gift shop and inside restrooms. Again there were more displayed of animals and large covered eagle and an Indian. I took a few pics. The restrooms were clean. The park is wheelchair accessible with parking up front and ramps everywhere. There is as expected lots of walking."
"Great weather for February in Central Illinois. Animals out and loving the sun today! Be sure to support the gift shop. They also have a donation board in the gift shop for supplies they need!"
"We were there very late in the day so many parts of the park were already closed. It definitely needs some TLC, but we still enjoyed the walk around and seeing the animals. We visited here about 12 years ago. We ate Thanksgiving dinner here and it was delicious. The outdoor areas were kept up better back then. This could be a wonderful place if the State of IL would invest more time and money into it."
"This is the place to start for the Park! Use the adjacent parking, NOT the parking for the Prairie Zephyr Main Depot that is directly to your right as you pass through the entrance of the park. If you park up there, it's a pretty long hike back up the hill with a family already tired from hiking around the park."
