"We only had one session and we came out of there worse than when we came in. She wants to force her views and her own life problems to you. She can relate to everything that happened to you because she has been through all. The problem with that is that she has her own personal view in regards to those problems that she has “lived”. Honestly she also needs counseling to fix her problems before she can even help others. We’re back to square 1 and with more problems in our marriage that this single session created. Overall the session was very biased and solely based on her own life perspective. If we go back, we’re most likely separating or getting a divorce. Run… Edit to add my reply to her response: It’s very unprofessional to share information you heard during the session. You don’t know about confidentiality? How do you want clients to trust you if you freely share details about their sessions online for everyone to read. Your perspective is not unbiased since you’re relating it to your own life which makes it biased. A neutral and professional person does not relate their client’s problems with her own experiences. No experience is the same for every single person. Experiences are like a spectrum and everyone reacts a different way to them. I hope you learn about confidentiality."
