Reviews
"Mr brown does not deserve the role of a leader at this school. He does not act like it, he abuses his power against all students to threaten them even for things they haven't done."
"This school is NOT it. The AP here, Mr.Brown, is a terrible leader of the school. he uses his power and makes decisions without listening to the kids. He simply does not care about the children attending. He believes he is at the top and he abuses his power heavily. Please do not send your kids here."
"Do not send your kids here, Mr brown the assistant principal as you can see in most of the reviews is one of the most disrespectful and disgusting individual to be working with kids. He doesn’t even hear anyone out, unhelpful, and rude. No fairness at all just pure disrespect."
"I've seen some very negative reviews commenting on the ineffectiveness of the teaching style at Winfree, and honestly, it is very different yet very effective for me. Essentially, your education is in your hands. You come at your designated time period, log in and do your work for four hours. I really appreciate the fact that we are only in school for four hours a day because after its over i have the rest of my day to live my life. This would be extremely helpful if you have a job or another circumstance that causes you to need a flexible schedule. There is very little activity in the classroom since everyone works on their own profile, so its very quiet (which makes a good independent learning environment). If you're struggling with a concept all you have to do is ask that teacher to work through the lesson with you. I've never had to wait for one on one teaching. The teachers are always friendly about it as well. ( I need help a lot in my math class and its never an issue!) The only reason I gave this school 4 stars instead of 5 was first because of the really sporadic rule changes. For example, sometimes we can have phones out and other times we get them confiscated. Or the other day we could only use the bathroom at designated times. The newly imposed rules usually don't stick..so wait a week and if you don't like the rule it will be gone. Also, there is a serious lack of extracurricular activities and interesting electives. But since it is a small school...that's kind of expected. All in all, this school is a great fit for me and I love the independence. If you're thinking about this school at least give it a tour and see what they have to offer."
"Administration at this school is far from helpful or polite. Most are on some sort of power trip and feel they need to act condescendingly towards students and talk over you when you are speaking to them. Don't bother calling for info, they clearly do not want to give it out. People are never there when they say they will be, leading to multiple wasted trips up to the school before actually leaving with what you came for. For a school who is supposed to be helping students that need it, they aren't doing a very good job. If you are self-motivated enough then you could still do well here and get the job done, but most of the administration needs some real work."
