Reviews of High Point Academy - Upper (6th - 12th Grade)
"As for all parents that have a child or children that are interested in sports or cheer. Even though you pay for summer camp. On top of that try to have your child trained by professionally both cheer and other sports. Still not meet the coachs expectations. Yet students and parents are informed that they have mandatory days that they have to be present, But yet some students don’t have to meet or have to comply with mandates. They show up one day. Yet they are still chosen. So how is it impartiality to the other students that do show up but yet are not chosen. What lesson are you as leader teaching our children?"
"LOL. My cousins went to this school for about a year and a half, and they said it felt like h3ll. The school couldn’t every provide lunch for the students and The staff members are extremely rude to parents and the students themselves. International leadership of Texas is probably more recommended then High Point to be honest; ILT has much more things such as providing ACTUAL SCHOOL LUNCH and helping students very much. I suggest avoiding this school."
"The Worst school my kid’s have attended. If you have another school on mind avoid this one. Teacher’s and principal intimídate kids want to you say from your mouth. To much bullying and they end up doing nothing about it. You spend to much money on uniforms and school isn’t even worth it.Worst Worst Worst School"
"Very unprofessional. New school with all first time teachers and staff. Nobody knows how to run anything and seem to be just playing school rather then actually being a school. It’s a constant wheels off kind of experience. Third year and seems to be getting worst. It’s like they took on more then they could handle and didn’t realize it until it was too late. Staff is never on the same page, very Poor communication, very inexperienced and very behind in their special education department. I have seen the front office personal and other staff having major emotional breakdowns publicly. Had my daughter removed from her class due to her behavior changing dramatically from being bullied and alienated by her teacher! Even when my daughter changed classes the teacher still told students not to be friends with my daughter! Absolutely nothing was done about this teacher. Then right before the last 6 weeks of this year I found out that my child who has learning disabilities was pushed through and was not graded on his content all year and the teacher didn’t tell anyone this until his end of the year ARD meeting. Some staff members seemed to be outraged at this and I thought maybe something would be done but nothing was. I had to constantly call and email and never got any responses until weeks later and they still never fixed any of the main issues. They will tell you what you want to hear at times but no positive changes are made for the beniefit of the child/children. Attending This school was the worst decision we made and will take lots of work and time to get my children back on track academically!"
"I love this school! The first year was hard. They were a new school and didn't quite have everything under wraps but we stuck it out and I'm so glad that we did! This year has been wonderful! Mainly due to my son's second grade teacher. She is just amazing and very informative! She communicates with me all the time, which I love! I'm currently expecting and can't wait for our daughter to go to High Point!"
