Welcome to Children First Learning Center-Lakeview in Waterloo, Illinois! Our day care center offers a nurturing and educational environment for children from infancy to school age. Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to providing a safe and enriching experience for all children in our care.
Located at 409 Lakeview Drive, our Lakeview location is our largest facility, with spacious classrooms and outdoor play areas. Our Program Coordinator, Tessa Springer, leads our team of experienced educators who are passionate about helping children learn and grow.
At our Lakeview center, we have two infant rooms for children as young as six weeks old, two toddler rooms for children aged 15-24 months, and two preschool classrooms that follow The Creative Curriculum. Our school-age program offers a variety of activities for children from kindergarten to sixth grade, including after-school care and summer programs.
We believe in the importance of building strong relationships with both children and parents, and our teachers work closely with families to ensure each child's individual needs are met. From social-emotional development to cognitive and physical skills, we are dedicated to providing a comprehensive educational foundation for every child.

Environment is clean and promotes learning. We get regular updates and pictures to help feel less disconnected from our child while we are away all day at work and it is wonderful. They have outdoor play as weather permits, and they even have water play days during the summer. Overall, I truly believe we picked the best place around; and we toured many before choosing. "We love Children First! The staff is friendly and teachers are knowledgeable and care genuinely for our kids. My children participate in many hands-on activities throughout the day; they do not just sit and watch TV or movies as I've witnessed in other centers (in fact, that is only used as a special, once-in-a-while treat or reward). I receive many posts/pictures daily of what my kids are learning and I've seen them apply what they've learned at home. The center is always clean and I regularly witness the teachers sweeping, mopping, and wiping down tables. Highly recommend!"
