"When I thought of a new kitchen table, I knew I didn’t want a regular, plain, typical dining table. I wanted a statement a work of art. After visiting many furniture stores and not finding what I was looking for, I decided to do some research. I googled beautiful unique kitchen tables. And voila I found these beautiful live edge wood tables that caught my eye. I kept looking and researching and found Elko Hardwoods. After visiting their store in Chicago, I decided that their work is absolutely beautiful! I got in contact with Matt T, owner and designer. From then on our vision was born. I chose a custom oxidized maple with live edges. When it arrived I was ecstatic ! It is everything and more than I expected. A work of art!! Absolutely gorgeous! "We love how our custom Cherry dining table and bench from Elko Hardwoods turned out! Since they moved to its Lincoln Square location, a table from them has long been on our bucket list. The showroom has samples of all types of wood, tables and legs for us to touch, look and feel exactly what we wanted. Justine was superb and so easy to work with to ensure that we got exactly the wood, size, character, and stain that we were looking for. Following a quick assessment, the team was able to pull the perfect slab for our space from its Indiana warehouse. After searching through various furniture stores in the city (pottery barn, west elm, etc.), none compared to the high quality and craftsmanship at Elko. Delivery was an ease, and done directly by the owner Matt. He even brought along his tool kit to make last minute adjustments to ensure it was a perfect fit, which truly made it a customizable experience. We’re so happy with how the table and bench turned out, and it will continue to be the centerpiece of our house."

We recently checked out the new showroom near Lincoln Square, and Justine was extremely accommodating, despite us not having an appointment. We got the run-down and decided to move ahead with a custom piece. We received pictures of the slabs at their facility in Elkhart, and the second option was a winner. "I’ve had my maple river resin dining table a little over three months. I’ve been waiting to write a review in hopes of finding the right words to describe my breathtaking piece. Sadly, I haven’t been able to find any words to do the table justice, so here goes my sub par effort. I knew exactly what I wanted in a dining table and came across Elko Hardwoods while conducting an extensive (and exhausting!) Internet search. After looking at the Elko website, I felt I had found the company who could bring my idea to life. And, after speaking with Anne Wittenberg, I knew I’d be in great hands. From the start, Anne was incredibly responsive and so lovely to work with. She took my ideas (I had many!) and she and Matt elevated them and delivered an absolutely extraordinary statement piece. The table truly is a work of art; it’s perfect and exceeded my expectations (which were incredibly high).
