"She has been over both of my pregnancies and my c section. She is the kindest, most loving, doctor I have ever met. I trust her with my life. She is so knowledgeable and intelligent. There is no better doctor!"
"Do NOT let Dr Mohan perform your tubal ligation! Dr Mohan performed my tubal along with my final C-section 5 years ago. I have had 4 C-sections, and I immediately noticed something different about this one. I was soaking pads in under an hour and passing huge clots for over 6 months after. Around a year later, I started experiencing excruciating pain and went through a severe depression. About another year later, I convinced a doctor to test my hormone levels, which ended up being quite low. The doc couldn't explain why and just wanted to put me on birth control. Another 2 years later, I finally convinced another doctor to let me do an abdominal mri to figure out what was causing all my pain and symptoms. The mri found 2 metal objects inside my abdomen. I immediately read through the surgical notes from Dr Mohan during my procedure, which stated that she used metal clamps called Filshie clips to clamp off my tubes rather than performing the cut and cauterize procedure we had previously discussed. Never once had I been asked permission or even informed that these clips were placed inside my body. During my c-sections, I've only had surgical staples used 1 time, because that 1 time my incision got infected. Docs don't think titanium causes an allergic reaction, but studies are starting to prove that for some it does. So, I can only imagine the reaction they are causing inside my body. The mri also showed that these clips were no longer even on my tubes. With further study, I learned that these clips are prone to coming off the tubes, migrating around the abdomen, and causing all kinds of pain and damage. I was told that I will need a hysterectomy because of all the damage and scaring I now have. I now belong to a group of thousands of women who have had the exact same symptoms and pains following their tubals, only to find out years later that these clips were implanted inside them without their consent or knowledge. Of these women lucky enough to have the clips removed, they noticed an almost immediate relief of pain and symptoms, so there's no way any of it could just be coincidental. As soon as I found out about these clips, I immediately contacted Care for Women. Dr Mohan refused to talk to me over the phone even though I currently live 4 hrs away in San Antonio. So, I drove 4 hrs with my 4 kids just so I could discuss what she had done to me face to face, as she demanded. She showed no remorse and just seemed irritated that she had to deal with me. She had no interest in helping and denied any responsibility to do so. It has been about 8 months since I drove out to talk to her. During that time, I have desperately tried to find a doctor who will perform the surgery for me, but no one is interested in taking it on. Even if I did find someone to perform the surgery, it would cost me at least $12,000! So, thank you Dr Mohan for the lifelong damnation of pain and hormonal hell. Since I only learned about these clips less than a year ago, Dr Mohan is legally protected under the Statute of Limitations. So, she gets to continue mutilating women without their knowledge."
